Well where do I start? I guess I will start from the very beginning when I called and talked to the ladies directly without applying, etc.. and of course, they were very very nice. There are three of them in the office, but I only spoke to two of them which is Savannah and Sara., with that being said, all three of them are very kind and helpful with any questions you may have. The person that I probably speak the most with now is Sara as she sits in the desk right when you walk in and is such a delight to talk to and so kind and polite she has been such a help to me with several things and I stated to her she can’t get too far from me:) but she is a real doll and so helpful along with the other gals. I shall go on so starting with the apartments, they are modern with different size bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, and some have fireplaces as it just depends on which apartment you choose, and it doesn’t matter as you will not be disappointed. They do keep the apartments up and also the grounds, which is a major plus and a beautiful place to live with the comfort that makes you feel at home and will be your home. I enjoy people so much and it seems like when I’m out walking. It is a friendly environment and a safe place to walk around the property and not only that in the front of the property and across the street is a fitness center and many nice eating establishments and shopping, and you can take even a nice walk over there as it is just a hop in and skip if you’re up to walking. Now to talk about the maintenance me. I have not had the opportunity to meet everyone so far they’ve only sent the same guy to my apartment for little things and his name is Jamal and he is a very very nice guy and gets his work done in a KIND and FRIENDLY manner and have never had a problem whatsoever with him super nice guy he and I would give him an A+, so with that being said, I’m sure the other guys do equal quality work for Corbin. Oh wait, you’ve probably guessed it on these hot days. You would like to dip in some water and guess what? Yes they have a pool surrounded by the beautiful area which is an asset to the pool. Well, I guess I have probably wrote my book, but there are many more amenities, and is a beautiful property that you won’t want to skip by without looking, so make this your next beautiful home with no...
Read moreI'm writing two reviews with one being very positive and the next one being very critical. First off, since we landed here at Corbin Crossing, Westin has been amazing. He is the friendliest out of all the staff and is always smiles. When you want something done or explained, he is always ready to help. He has made working with management here a great pleasure. They should make him management. Kudos to Westin and thank you for all you have helped us with.
Just found out that I cannot do 2 reviews so I need to add to this one. For the negative part (and I read all the past reviews on this before writing). This place is in dire need of maintenance upkeep. Seems that everything is falling apart. Hallways continue to be dirty with cigarette butts still there from when we moved in 2 months ago. We experienced alot of water leak issues in our apartment and we are in the 2nd floor of a 3 floor complex. The roofs on every building have tarps on them for the past month and never see anyone actually doing anything to replace the shingles or repair the roof. The pool...oh boy, the pool...such a disappointment as you pay for amenities and the pool area is still under repair. All other pools in area got to enjoy Memorial Day weekend around the pool but not our complex. There was not even a single communication out to renters telling them about the pool situation. It is still not completed and still not communication. In my opinion, this complex has some great staff that work here, but the management is non-existent. Remember: Don't let a fancy office area make you believe that the quality of the unit is there. Pay attention to details.
EDIT UPDATE 7.12.2018: Well it has been well over 2 months from moving out of this place and we still have not received any of our deposit back. Even after living in a leaky place and ants all over the place. Not even the letter detailing the final walk through with the breakdown. I'm not struggling over $500 but want to inform as many people about this place as possible. BEWARE!!! There are so many choices in the area and this place is in dire need of new management and certainly updates to all the units...
Read moreI was told on June 11th by Ryan (who used to work there) that I’d be getting a $500 refund from my $575 application payment. After two weeks with no check, I followed up on June 25th with Serra, who claimed she didn’t know anything about it but would call back after speaking with corporate. She never did, I had to keep calling. On June 26th, she told me the check had been sent and I should receive it by the following week. I waited, factoring in the July 4th holiday, and called again the week of July 7th. No answer. After several voicemails, someone new finally called me back and said nothing had been sent at all. When I asked for the property manager, I was told she was out sick and to “give her grace”, even though I’d been waiting nearly a month. When I asked for corporate’s contact info, the new employee said, “Well, you’re just gonna have to look it up.”
Then came the contradictions, first corporate needed to approve the check, then it was the manager, then back to corporate again. Serra even denied ever telling me it had been sent, though she absolutely had. I told her I’d be filing complaints with the BBB and Kansas AG if I didn’t receive my refund by the end of the week. Suddenly, she called within the hour saying the check was approved and would be overnighted—then emailed me shortly after saying it actually wouldn’t arrive until the day after.
When I picked up the check, it was only $250. Yes, I had signed an agreement that technically guaranteed just $250—but multiple employees, including Ryan, Serra, and the new employee, consistently told me over the phone I’d be getting $500. Serra later claimed Ryan must’ve been “confused” and that she “would never” approve $500—even after I played her the voicemail from Ryan confirming it. She never once corrected me over the course of a month of repeated conversations where I confirmed that $500 amount multiple times.
To top it off, I had to wait over a month, deal with all this runaround, and drive almost an hour just to pick up the money I was supposedly guaranteed, while the property manager never once made herself available and apparently doesn’t even...
