This was my very first time visiting — and even hearing about — this store, all on the same day. My family and I were passing through Columbus, and I have a dear friend who lives in the area. We decided to meet briefly to exchange hugs and catch up, Alhamdullillāh. She then suggested we stop by this spot to get some sweets, as she wanted to treat me — may Allāh reward her.
I was honestly skeptical at first since I usually avoid sweets, and I had never heard of the place. But I wasn’t going to miss the chance to spend a little more time with her, especially since we live in different states and rarely get to see each other.
To my surprise, the place was very welcoming and beautifully arranged. It had a nice selection of pastries and desserts — mā shā’ Allāh. We ended up trying quite a few things and spent close to $60. While the pastries range from about $2.99 to $4.99 each, the quality and flavor made the prices understandable. I can now say — Subhān Allāh — I’ve been thinking about those sweets ever since!
The only downside for me was the music playing in the background. I personally don’t like music in stores and wish it wasn’t there, as it takes away from the overall experience for someone like me.
There was also a small moment of confusion when we asked to buy a bottle of water, and the staff directed us to a water fountain. I’m not sure if it was a misunderstanding or something else — wa Allāhu Aʿlam.
Otherwise, the service was kind, the store was clean and pleasant, and the visit turned into a sweet memory in more...
Read moreLet's be honest. When you think of a Parisian escape, your mind probably doesn't conjure images of Metcalf Avenue. Yet, nestled right here in Overland Park is a portal to another dimension, a place where butter is a food group and sugar is a love language. That place is Paris Baguette. I walked in expecting a decent croissant and walked out a changed man, one who now understands the meaning of life is a Biscoff Cookie Butter Cruffin. This isn't just a pastry; it's a multi-layered cylinder of flaky, buttery excellence, filled with a cookie butter cream so divine I briefly considered proposing marriage to it. Not to be outdone, its cousin, the Biscoff Cookie Butter King Creme Donut, is a masterpiece of confectionary engineering that makes you wonder what you ever did to deserve such joy. And the coffee-infused creations? The Coffee Danish and the Coffee Croissant Donut are the answer to a question I've asked myself every morning: "Why can't I just inject the coffee directly into the pastry?" These geniuses have done it. It’s the kind of efficient, delicious multitasking that should be an Olympic sport. The sheer variety is almost comical. Tarts, cakes, rolls, muffins—the display case is a beautiful, overwhelming landscape of carbs. Trying to choose just one thing feels like a high-stakes game show where every option is a winner. My only complaint? They haven't installed a tiny cot in the corner for a post-pastry nap. It seems like a...
Read moreUpdate: Cookie butter EVERYTHANNNNGGGG. The fall menu is upppp and wow. Cookie butter Donut and the Macchiato were delicious. Can't say no to Biscoff. This really has become my place to go. Can we please get Ristretto/Cortado added in here? 😉🫣
Pain Au chocolat or Kwaaasuaaaannn. That's what you need to figure out going in. We needed a place like this around here.
We got the Pain Au chocolat, Dubai chocolate Mochi Donut, Coffee Kwaaasuaaaannn donut, and Feuillete Chocolat. Didn't take long for 2 people to finish all that 😂
As for coffee, Cortado. No, it's not on the menu but she made one for me anyway. Begs the question, why is it not on the menu? It tasted pretty good too...and we got a Hazelnut latte which tasted great as well.
Great place with lots of seating indoors and out. Definitely...
