They don't offer military discount. I've been to a lot of waffle houses. And they always offer a military discount. When looking online it says that waffle House normally offers a 10% military discount. The staff there was unsure about this discount. My suggestion is that management take a look into this matter and get it corrected. A 10% military discount for veterans is just something really Nice to offer. It also guarantees that I will eat there more than once. I support businesses that support the troops. On that note I do have to remove 2 Stars. One because they should offer the discount. Two because online says waffle House does offer the discount. And this is just a staff training issue. The girl asked the manager about the discount. And the manager had no clue. If she / the manager was unsure if they did a discount. A courtesy discount would have been nice and she could have looked it up later.
The reason why I'm removing a third star is because I had to ask for drink refills, no jelly was brought out with my toast or meal, one chocolate chip waffle had the perfect amount of chocolate chips and was perfect, the other one was like whatever is left in the bag. (Portion control issue) pictures of The waffles are available... The waitress that took our order I only saw come to my table two times. One was to take my order, the other was to give me the check. I know The manager seem to be taking the orders outside for peoples to go orders. She had to walk by us every time to get to the exit door. I kind of expected either the manager, or waitress to come and ask how is our meal. to check up on us at least. Especially considering I had an empty cup on the edge of the table the entire time, letting the waitress know I need a refill. You can see in the pictures that it was not that busy.
Positive things. Drink refills were done by the cook, and he even gave me the jelly as well. He was working very hard. You can see him in the one picture at the grill wearing a blue hat. He did a good job. The waffles were golden, NOT burnt, THE BACON WAS COOKED PERFECTLY. Overall it's not a bad place to eat. Definitely a good spot to go to after the bar. It did get really crowded when we were leaving. So if it's crowded I would suggest find somewhere else to go. Because it wasn't crowded when we got there. And I still had trouble getting my drink...
Read moreSo I come into this location from time to time, I really enjoy Tanya. She is delightful and professional.
Before I tell the story I just want to say this, I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and I've seen everything.
Unfortunately, my visit was not so great this last time due to another server, I believe here name was Bobbie. She was taking all the tables that came in and was not sharing and going back and forth. She tried to argue with the other server and hog all the tables. She was constantly trying to prove a point and create a diversion from her deceit. She was definitely taking tables and orders out of rotation.
While I was trying to enjoy my meal, all she was doing was arguing with the cook and trying to confuse him because of the scam that she was running. I saw her acting like she was writing down an order that she was taking for togo. She did not hand the customer a ticket, she just told him a price. Then she quietly asked him if he was going to pay with cash app. He looked at her confused, and said no. He handed her a $20 for his food that was $12.50, she took the $20 and put it into her apron. Then she started to do something else and take another order. And then she started arguing with the cook all the meanwhile hoping that the customer would forget to ask for the change. The customer then says, "Can I have my change," and she acted like it had slipped her mind. The man waited a long time for his food because she never called the order in. But she started to confuse the cook in order to divert the attention to him and accused him of messing up orders, so she could continue with her schemes of pocketing cash orders, and attempting to get customers to pay via cash app. Also, it's very unhygienic to have hair so long that comes all the way down to your backside flinging around near food in actuality it's a health code violation. In summation, when I come in to eat I like to relax a little bit because I'm coming from work. I do not need to hear the server starting arguments with the cook because she's trying to run her scheme and steal money from the company. So when you do your inventory on your food and you come up short then...
