Update: 12/10/2018...Still horrible. They might as well close this one. I went because they had a special of $1 chili cheese dogs. I show up at the drive thru and order two of them and a medium fry. All seemed fine. I waited a brief time for two cars ahead of me and pulled up and paid. All seemed fine. I wait a few minutes and the gentleman comes back to the drive thru and says they have to make some chili and it would be about 10 minutes. Keep in mind there is a special on "CHILI" cheese dogs.
I was getting the sense they didn't want to make the chili and was hoping I would leave But I called them on it and said "No problem, I'll wait." About 10 minutes go by and the person reappears and says "I'm sorry we the chili won't be made in time I can refund your money." What the he**? Um yeah. You aren't going to take it and not give me my food. So I took the refund and left.
Is there some reason they couldn't have told me that when I ordered? There were all of 3 or 4 people working there. Can't be that hard to communicate. I've given up on this Sonic and since the nearest one after that is several miles away I will not be going to Sonic unless I am near one.
So long Router 44 grape slushies. So long chili cheese tots. So long $1 chili cheese dog specials. So long poor service. So long poor planning. So long to this Sonic in particular and probably so long to Sonic unless I get desperate. Unless they get new management and do some training.

Clearly they were overwhelmed and understaffed on Friday May 5, 2018. I give them credit for trying to keep up but it resulted in lousy service.
We chose to walk up and order and eat outside on a very pleasant weather evening. However after waiting nearly 25 minutes and seeing several cars that pulled in after us leave my friend pushed the service button to inquire. Clearly they need more people.
It took several minutes to respond to the button and they said it was on the way out. A few minutes later we finally got our food with an explanation that whoever took our order put it in the wrong place. Huh? The place isn't that big and don't they have some system to show what has been delivered? If not they need to work on process.
I love Sonic's food. Especially there 50 cent corn dog days. ☺ This night the food could have been good. Were it not that the fries were cold and the burgers were lukewarm. At least my cherry slush wasn't melted so I enjoyed that. Oh and the popcorn chicken was cold and despite the menu saying "comes with your choice of dipping sauce" and me ordering honey mustard and bbq, I received none. 4 napkins for two loaded burgers, a large and med. fry, popcorn chicken and 3 drinks between two people wasn't enough either. Product failure.
People, process and product. A failure in all 3 areas tonight. I will go back because I like their food and have received good service in the past. But tonight I am out $24 And sadly disappointed. A free shake was the manager's offer. I think a voucher for the same amount or an offer to remake would have been in order.
Shame on you Sonic!! You are better than this. Hire more people and improve...
Read moreNot at all living up to Sonic's typical standards. I have tried this Sonic multiple times hoping for a better experience, but it never seems to come. Three times I have pulled up to a stall, pressed the button to place my order, and then when the car hop answers that state they are only accepting orders at the drive through. In my opinion, the whole point of soming to sonic is for the "drive in" aspect... this is what sets it apart from mcdonalds, tacobell, burger king, ect ect. People come with their family and pets for the drive in experience. Aside from that i have also ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster three times as well and it always comes without the onion ring.... which is what makes it special :'(
Edit: a member of management reached out after I contacted them with the above experience(2 months ago), stating that they would welcome me back and make the bacon cheeseburger toaster correctly, apologized, and stated that they would make the GM aware of the situation. After giving it some time, I decided to go back tonight with my family. We got there about 9:20, they close at 10. All of the stall lights were off, which was strange. They even appeared closed from the road, but when we pulled in there were other cars. We had to use a flashlight to even view the menu... when we pressed the red button to Oder we had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone answered, but we could see 5 staff members standing inside standing around talking??? When they finally answered they said their ice cream machine was down for the night. what???? Since when do you stop selling a product before the time of close? You willingly lose sales, customers, and Sonices reputation because you don’t want to clean the ice cream machine after closing hours? My fiancé and I have BOTH worked at Sonic previously. Both of us recalled nights where even if someone placed an order 10 min before close, we still fulfilled the order, and honored the guest, as Sonics STANDARDS.
After leaving my fiancé called and asked to speak with a manager. Kenneth Adams is the one he spoke with. He was extremely defensive and short with him. He claimed they always stop selling ice cream and clean the machine at 9:15, and that By the time we came back it would be ready and running. WHAT.
Lol I give up on this Sonic. So sad that our favorite has became the biggest disappointment. At this point, We feel as if Sonic has set a blind eye to loyal customers who wanted the bare minimum in what the brand supposedly stands by. Today My children and I decided to eat outside in their sitting area to have what we thought would be a peaceful dinner but instead we served uncooked BBQ boneless wings . After confronting the manager DAWN KING her approach was “ I can give you a refund for the uncooked meal but not the other meal because it was eaten “ Please let’s be very clear I never asked for a refund just wanted to report my issue to her . She had a nonchalant Attitude and never apologized until I called her out for showing us no remorse ! My 2 meals was $16 I even tip the waiter $5 even after my order arrived wrong the 1st time ; Then once I did receive my correct order I didn’t get any dipping sauce so I had to knock on the glass and get it myself after waiting abt 5min and getting the call light ignored . So please understand I wasn’t worried about getting anything for free !! I was so angry I handed the employee my uncooked food before taking a picture . Once I saw the manager” DAWN KING “ didn’t care I asked for the uncooked food back “ Dawn King then replies and says “it in the trash “. I also asked DAWN KING for her manager number DAWN KING stated “ I can’t give you that number “ I then demanded a number to get in touch with someone after calling the police ! Which DAWN KING response was “ CALL THE POLICE “ Sad right !! The police told me this was a “civil suit “ and they couldn’t do anything she then walked away from me a 2nd time . I then asked an employee to tell her I’m waiting on a number ! At this point I’m inside the door yell big trying to get DAWN King attention once again . She blows me off and tells me “ she’s getting me a number but I have to wait “ as she was preparing someone else food . So basically (f#%€) me !!! I don’t know how she made manager and she need to be fired !! Her customer service skills are horrible and her I don’t care attitude doesn't help either . I have never in my life wrote a review but then again I have never eaten at a restaurant that has sold me UNCOOKED food unless I asked for it “ referring to a stake “ !! Nevertheless this will not be the end of this I will contact everyone I need to to get the proper actions taking and it could’ve all been so Simple If this company picked a better manager to represent their franchise !!
