Today at 6:00 pm Saturday, myself and my grandmother went through the drive through and ordered a doublestack plain cheese only (because of how many order related incidents they've had with my order in the past, it's become a habit to order it that way specifically). We got to the window, paid, and received the order. Now, I'll be the first to admit that I'm a nuisance with food because of how picky I am. That said, the burger had pieces of bacon on/in it, and a bit of ketchup. I can rightly be criticized for not picking/wiping it off and going about my day, and anyone is free to say as much. I had planned to just give it to someone else and be finished with the matter, because it's not like my life depends on me eating a cheeseburger y'know. But I checked it, my grandmother insisted I give it to her (she was the driver, I was the passenger), and she tried to hand it back, requesting a plain burger with only cheese. No attitude, no foul undertones, nothing of the sort. The woman at the window immediately began to get snappy, telling her how it WAS plain even though my grandma pointed out and showed her that it was not. The worker continued arguing my grandmother and it went back and forth for about a minute before the woman told my grandmother to show her how it wasn't plain. Once more, my grandma did just this. She tried to say it was on the wrapper and not the burger even though it was inside the burger and on the cheese. When proven wrong, said worker began arguing her that it wasn't that much and then that it WAS PLAIN even after acknowledging that there were things besides bun, meat, and cheese on the burger. She did take it back at this point, and asked the cook for a plain one while venomously remarking how there wasn't even anything on it still like she hadn't just seen the bacon and ketchup. The cook responded in a similar fashion attitude wise, but not directly to us. After a moment, she handed out another burger and before I could even get it out of the bag, asked with the same venom if we were going to check it to make sure it was right, and when my grandma told her that's what I was doing, she then told us to check it like she didn't see me actively opening the wrapper and checking it. It was correct this time, thankfully, though I don't know that somebody didn't spit in it, with people that full of spite and attitude being the workers. I didn't catch her nametag, but she was a girl probably around 5' 6", dark eyes, a fuller facial figure, some light colored chunks of hair amongst a head of dark hair that was about to her shoulders. If I had to guess, she's in her mid 20s. I've had issues with this location before, but they've been minute and haven't been worthy of a particularly negative rating (frequent issues with them giving us an incorrect order BUT: When asked to correct the order, they do so kindly and without incident, and a single incident where i gave them a $50 bill for a purchase of $3 and something and only got $23 back. Though, that's on me mostly for not being prepared enough to have a smaller bill on hand and not checking my change thoroughly until after I got home). However, I don't think I'll be returning to this location for a while as I don't want to get caught with another incorrect burger while she's working. Someone who acts like that when a customer is being respectful and in no way provocative about requesting a fix in their order should not be working at a job that deals with the public (or at least not customer service). Even if we had been in the wrong, the action that should've been taken was to get a different burger, hand it out, and be done. None of the attitude or arguing should have...
Read moreFirst off, I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Every time I go to this location, they're always SLOW, NONCHANLANT and have POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I love Wendy's, don't get me wrong but let me tell you a story all about this HOT MESS Location. I haven't been back to this location since that incident happened. It probably happened 6months ago but I was fed up enough not to return EVER!.One day as I was going through the drive through, I noticed the lady give my food to the car in front of me. I found out because 1, I watch everything and 2 the car had the bag of food for about 15 seconds. I watched them go ALL THROUGH the bag and when they realized it wasn't theirs, (which shockingly took a long time) gave it back to the lady in the DT window. I pulled up to the window paid and remained quiet just to see what she was going to do. Do you know she gave me the same food the people gave back to her??!!....WOW!...I told her I did not want the food because the people touched all over it, could of had viruses, could of breath on it, could of done ANYTHING to my food. I told her I will come in and wait on them to make me fresh food. She had the nerve to get an attitude. (I Should of got a refund right then and there but I was hungry), I came in and watched them very closely however I was really nervous. I watched them to make sure they didn't give me the same food, watched them to make sure they didn't do anything out of spite, to my food. As I was waiting, she got smart with me, I kept my cool because I'm not about to be on WORLDSTAR fighting over some food LOL. The lord knew how I was feeling because he sent the manager to me. I explained to him what happened and he apologized. By this point, my nerves got bad, I didn't trust ANYONE so I asked for a refund and NEVER went back. (I wasn't that hungry). On that day , the females in drive through were very unprofessional and rude. The males that handle the food had staring problems and the cashiers were rushing people orders and acting nonchalant. That's just my experience, to...
Read moreUnfortunately, the counter person was new. When I got to the restaurant, there was a line of cars around the building, so I went inside. The line of people waiting room order went out the door. No worries, it's lunchtime and I expected it to be busy. However, the only counter person taking orders seemed new and unsure what to do. The manager was doing her best to cover all stations and give directions and at this point I noticed that it seemed like the grill cook was newer too.
Everyone in line was super impatient, more than ninety percent of the people in line griped about time to order. I've been in the restaurant business for a long time, so I'm probably the most lenient comment you're going to get about this situation today. I know training by fire is important, but during this sort of rush, I might have pulled the newbie back to something less time sensitive, moved a stronger order entry person or two to the front, and helped the grill cook pump out orders.
I'm not mad, and I won't stop going to Wendy's. I only said highly unlikely to return to this location because I'm in from out of town. Just wanted to give some insight and my opinion. A "sorry for your wait," would have went a long way. The new girl didn't make eye contact at all. I get it: new, stressed, not in your groove yet. Smile, keep going, and apologize! It will eventually slow down. Best of...
