Decided to finally order from this local legend of a pizza place one Saturday night when I decided to stay in to watch the soccer game. Being an Oviedoan, you hear nothing but good things about this place, and I was feeling pizza, so it just made sense. Location is super fantastic, just a stone's throw away from my place and historic downtown. Take-out only, so there's only one parking spot on property. Get in, and get out. I love it. Service was amazing. They had my food ready when I got there, and the team were some of the nicest folks I've ever met. As for the pies, we got two 12-inches. First was the Fig and Prosciutto (Organic figs, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto baked on a drilled olive oil crust, finished with arugula served with a side of balsamic (no red sauce)). This was a really good pie. The bitter arugula with the sweet figs with the tang of that balsamic, just really well designed. I was surprised a mom and pop came up with this. Very nice. Then came the Chicken Bacon Ranch (Ranch sauce based, chicken, crumbled bacon and mozzarella cheese (no red sauce)). This one was a lot of fun. Usually chicken on pizza is served in chunks that are too big, but this chicken was diced, so you got chicken and bacon in even amounts in every single bite. It was really cool. Big fan. These 12-inches are also perfect for getting two and splitting them. You'll have one or two slices leftover the next day, which is fine, because these pizzas eat well cold. We also got the Garlic Knots (1/2 dozen garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce). Amazing knots. They go for a lot of little ones, so you get an amazing crispy outside-to-soft inside ratio. Garlic and olive oil everywhere to get some good stuff in every bite. Overall, I had no idea that this kind of quality was literally a mile away from my front door. I never had a local go-to pizza place before this day, but man, I am so glad.

We have been passing this place for so long and finally decided to order! The service was friendly and efficient and super flexible when we changed from delivery to pick up. I love supporting small business so we were excited to support an Oviedo business. The reason for my 3 stars is that I just didn’t love the pizza. We ordered an 18” Bianca and 18” cheese with toppings. The crust was very tough and honestly didn’t have a lot of flavor. I prefer a doughy pizza but since this is brick oven, I understand it has to be thin, but it was burnt in some spots and without a lot of flavor overall. The Bianca was pretty good in terms of cheese and we added spinach but the ricotta was flavorless. I think the ricotta can really make or break a white pizza so adding some spices would go a long way. For the cheese pizza, we did half with 3 toppings and the other half with 3 toppings. The taste was ok, but again, the crust left a lot to be desired. I don’t know if it was an off night or maybe this is the norm or maybe I’m just picky. I’m from the northeast so good pizza is a commodity and not easy to come by. I can’t say we’ll rush back but based on the other reviews, we may come back and try other menu items. We didn’t dine in but the location and building itself is cute and feels like a small town family business, which we love! Hoping this was a one off and the other menu items are better!

My review: I read the “best pizza” comments in previous posts on our community FB page. Naturally I had to give this place a try, because like a lot of you, I’m a lover of good pizza. 🍕 1st attempt last week it was a 2.5 hour wait time….🤯 That would have made it way too late to eat. Next attempt they were closed. Tuesday was the day!! I was ready to order for my family. We wanted to try a few different things to get a feel. I opted for pick up and drove right over. Let me just say it did NOT disappoint!! From the kindness of the owner and staff, to the quality and taste of the food, and finally the prices are fantastic! We are now fans of Cucinella’s! Thank you Francesco Agueci!! If you haven’t tried it, you should! Please be patient as he works hard in preparing the best food for you, so there may be a long wait during their more popular times. Good things take time. Prepare accordingly. la migliore pizza della zona!! ***Update on their hours*** Monday- closed Tues-Thursday 4-9pm Friday & Saturday 3-10 Sunday 12-8 🍕🍕🍕 — at Cucinella's Brick Oven Pizzeria Oviedo Florida.

Terrible service, would like to say the pizza was good but never received it! We ordered for delivery on 9/11/20 at approximately 5:00 pm. Typed in for delivery at 6:30pm. Plenty of time, right? At 6:20, received a text that our order was canceled. After repeatedly trying to call to see about our order, phone busy for 15 minutes, we drove up to the restaurant to try and pick up our $45 order. Pricey for two pizzas!!! Upon arrival, line out the door with many disgruntled patrons who said they had been waiting for the order for over an hour! Red flags!!! My wife approached the girl at the counter and asked about our order. She was a deer in headlights. Couldn’t answer why our order was cancelled, offer no apologies, no discounts, only an answer of “would we like to place another order? It would be ready In a couple of hours! Really, by now it was 7:00 pm, family waiting for dinner at home and no pizza! What’s amazing is they didn’t care about our business and based on their other reviews, we are amongst many other unhappy patrons. Reviews on the food are good, service is horrible. I can’t review the food since we never got it. We love to support our locally owned Oviedo establishments, but this place is one that obviously doesn’t want our support. Good luck staying in business when service is unappreciative or won’t even give you an apology or explanation...
