I haven’t been to this location (or any other Taco Bueno location) for at least 5 years. I used to come roughly once a month, but they eventually got to a point where they would be out of beans, rice, and chicken any time I would stop by. After hearing about the health code violations and how filthy it was inside, I decided to stop giving TB any further chances.
I live two minutes from this location. After 5+ years not coming, I randomly decided tonight to give it another shot. I went through the drive thru and ordered a bean burrito with sour cream, a chicken and potato burrito, and a small side of queso. My total was $9 😳. When I got my food, it wasn’t even luke warm. It was actually cold. There were random pieces of lettuce inside of my bean burrito, which makes no sense. Additionally, I’m usually not one to judge appearances, but the person working the window looked like he had not showered in a week or more. He had long, messy hair that wasn’t pulled back or in a hair net.
It was yet another disappointing experience, and I have no idea why I gave them another shot. I guess I assumed they must be doing better, otherwise the health department would have shut them down by now.

However, my 1 star rating is because of what I was with the dynamic of staff. My order was taken by someone who I believe was the manager, he misheard what I ordered. Communication errors are no big deal, no one's fault. When I saw the incorrect item on the screen, I ask him to correct it. He insisted I had said the wrong item, twice. My husband was with me and very surprised by how he spoke to me, but we just assumed it was a bad day. Then, he delivered food to another customer and was rude again to them. What really was the nail in the coffin for me to never return was I saw a young employee sobbing after an interaction with him, managers should not be making employees cry like that and be so cold about it. I was appalled that this is a horrible highly toxic workplace and I could see that just in my visit. Read moreThis is CRAZY!! I understand being understaffed. But seriously 8-10x's I've been over there the lobby has been closed. Had to walk in the drive-Thru. Not to mention the last 2 times I've been there the quality of my food has been HORRIBLE!! I tried to call 3 separate times today. 1st time I called someone picked up but didn't say n e thing. But I could hear the workers laughing and swearing. It had to be the employees cause the lobby is closed. Then I call the second time and someone picked up then hung up. Waited a couple minutes and called again and ONCE AGAIN someone picked up and what seemed to be setting it down. This is what my tacos look like. This is EXTREMELY UNEXCEPTABLE!!
