We were at the Culvers after wrestling today 03/10/2024. And had the most horrible service and the most horrible manager interaction as well as food that we could not even eat. We were there way before the rush. First they gave our food to the wrong people after we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes. Then they remade it and my mushroom and swiss burger was burnt to the point you could not eat it and the patty looked horrible. I went up to complain and I was told by the very RUDE Manager named Blake that they were busy and didn’t see anything wrong with our meal. I told him due to the mix-up in the meal we should get something/compensation since it took so long to get our food and he said "we were busy". Again I stated that when we ordered it was not busy. It did not get busy until around 45 minutes after we had arrived. He said I can remake your burger and told me they don’t compensate for this. He then went to the area to hand the food back to the kitchen and stated "I guess they want a new one, in a rude voice". I then asked who his boss was and he said it is on the door with their names and told me that he could throw me out. To say I was pissed is an understatement. My son also brought his burger up to me and it was also burnt crisp. The couple sitting by us as we were waiting for our meal told us to fill out a complaint card as they must have had issues. When they had originally brought out the meal and gave it to the wrong table they didn't even have our complete order on that tray. We got up and left after being treated this way without my son and I eating. When I talked to the couple sitting by us, as had been sitting there when I was up at the counter she had turned to me and said make sure you fill out a complaint card. After the incident went back to the table and told my husband and son that we were leaving. I told the couple that had told us to fill out the complaint cared that the manager on duty Blake was rude they must have had a run in with him before as they agreed. Anyone who is driving by or through Owatonna please be advised that the Manager on Duty named Blake is extremely rude and will not make things right when there is a problem. I have left a message on the voice mail of Tyler Fisher one of the owner of this store hopefully they will call me back. We usually go to any Culver's when we are on the road due to their good food and custard. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth and don't know if I will ever visit another Culver's again. By the looks of reviews this is an ongoing problem. I should have also took a picture of my mushroom and swiss burger as to how crispy that was. It appears this Culver's needs to send their employees back to good customer service training and also retrain their kitchen help. I have worked in the fast food industry before and anytime we had a complaint the manager on duty was very professional about it and also would compensated to make it right. Not only was this manager on duty RUDE but he was also very cocky. Also when they did get busy they never opened up the other...
Read moreOrdered a deluxe double basket, fish dinner, and 3rd person already had dinner, so she just wanted a 2 scoop of chocolate frozen custard. Took 30+ min to get our food brought to us.
Pretty sure the first thing they did was make the custard cup, cause by the time it got to us, it was pure liquid.
We waited patiently as we saw smaller and larger groups get their food ahead of us. When we saw a group that came in after us get their food, I went up to the counter to politely make them aware we were still waiting and went back to the table. 10 min later ( + two more groups), wife went up to notify them we still had not received our order. They apologized and gave us two value basket vouchers, which is a nice (basic) effort, but not even equivalent to what we ordered.
By this time I finished my drink, so I go up to get a refill, and the fruit punch was dispensing straight syrup now. So I had to choose a different beverage. The fruit punch cherry on top of this sundae. Not the biggest problem, but it was there.
When we got our dinner finally, I had to go back up to get silver ware for the dinner, the pickles I requested on my burger, and at that point I had to request a fresh two scoops of chocolate, so our friend could eat her ice cream not drink warm dairy. Even then they didn't bother dispensing fresh chocolate, just scooped out of the bin that they warned me was "pretty thawed". I figured if it was scoopable, it was still acceptably better than what was brought to the table originally.
This night crew needed some leadership. When I went up to the counter, I noticed they had a ridiculous amount of bags of fries and cheese curds, maybe even a dinner (based on the bun) on their warming lamp line, but like only a sandwich or two, that would get packed up fairly quickly, but not even a dent made on their fry supply.
When the wife went up, she was gonna hit them with a stern tone (our 2nd trip to the counter), but then a customer ahead of her complained, and the kid started getting upset and chewing out the kitchen staff out of frustration from presumably how many wrongdoings he was having to try to make right. So she just felt bad for him and politely informed him we still didn't have our order.
All the problems mentioned are surprisingly not an uncommon occurrence for me, drive thru or dine in.
-Long waits -Unfulfilled orders -Frozen treats prepped ahead of Hot food. -Drink machine broken in some way -Lackluster attempt to correct the poor...
Read moreIn May while traveling my family and I stopped here. We ordered and sat down to wait. Shortly after a dinning room attendant recklessly sprayed the table next to our completely covering all of us including our 9 month old child with the commercial disinfectant. We gathered our children and left immediately. My wife is an EMT and we washed the 9 month old off in the parking lot and immediately found a local hotel to further wash and monitor the child for adverse reactions. Thankfully there was minimal reaction and she is fine. I contacted upper management and explained situation talked with franchise owner (JOHN FISHER) about it and mentioned I would be seeking reimbursement for the emergency hotel room we had to secure. He was rude condescending and simply refused to make right the disruption his negligent employee had caused our family. It was a $152 dollars to make it right. The $152 is principle as its not about the money. I as a business owner myself would of jumped at an opportunity to make it right but I guess his idea of a business owners responsibility to right the wrong of his staff differs from mine. I've contacted Calvers corporate and found their risk management to equally unhelpful, condescending, and not concerned with the possible danger their restaurant is posing to the public. Neither owner of corporate mentioned one word of retraining or properly training its employees. I saw only a pattern of irresponsibility when it comes to the safety of its costumers. Both mentioned that this commercial disinfectant is safe to humans "when properly diluted" neither could guarantee with certainty this was done properly. They both implied that it is safe to spray a 9 month old child with which is probably the most ridicules thing I've ever heard in my life. I have contacted both local and state health departments for formal complaints and an investigation has been strated. I strongly suggest you as a customer do not patronize this greedy establishment. JOHN FISHER should be ashamed of his unwillingness to make right negligent behavior from...
