Panda Express — Restaurant in Owatonna

Where I moved from there was a panda or five in every city. Apparently this is the only one anywhere near where I live now. The experience was by far the most embarsssing moments of my year by far. Alissa you are one of the rudest humans I have ever had any dealings with. I ordered teriyaki chicken big plate or dinner plate Wtv and the First Lady was actually sweet and I remember her now as I retell the story and want to thank you for being a decent person. There were two of the tiniest smallest chicken thighs sitting in a dish dried out and shriveled up burnt around the edges in the nicest of voices I just ask if I could wait on fresh chicken possibly and Alissa comes down from the register to talks aggressively loud to the First Lady helping me. The First Lady said that I wanted some fresh chicken and could wait and Alissa was not going to take that for any kind of request. She looked me dead in the face and said why don’t you want this chicken in the most mocking way ever. I really had to have a full on conversation with her about my wish to just have fresh chicken. The First Lady even said to her that the chicken she was trying to make me buy was trash and Alissa said it was all I could get and there wasn’t anything wrong with it. I notice the room filling up people piling in and here I am going back and forth with Alyssa about why I didn’t want that chicken. The other issue is I was having is the portion. Since when did a 3 entrees of teriyaki chicken Amount to two tiny burnt up dry pieces of chicken? We went on again for about another four minutes about the portion. I’ll set the scene. I’m in a def all Caucasian town (which I happen to enjoy going someplace that hasn’t been invaded yet )my husbands a white guy with a mullet and I’m black and beautiful. I look around and the towns painted white. I’m already trying to get from out of there as soon as possible j can hear ppl snickering and huffing etc. I turn back to the counter to Alissa acting like I’m the problem or like I don’t understand what she continued to repeat to me what a mess. Alissa you had no reason to treat me the way you did and cause that scene. Your attitude and personality are at a all time high of 0. You shouldn’t be in the food service or anything dealing with people directly. You don’t have the knack for it. Food was delicious tho. Thanks to the chef and kitchen crew. Alissa clearly this isn’t for you hun....

This is the worst location. Every time I go there the are out of something and I'm ALWAYS told we have to wait 7 minutes for an eggroll. I don't know that I can tell you I have ever had a good experience here. The last time we went, which was Sunday at about 630pm was the worst by far. We hadn't attempted to go there for about 3 months because it just doesn't end well for us. We go through the drive through and order 1 bowl with fried rice and orange chicken, 1 bowl with fried rice and string bean chicken, 2 egg rolls and cream cheese rangoons. Of course we have to wait to 7 minutes, ok whatever. We wait, I don't check the bag because we've waited about 12 min, so surly they got it right and head home. Get home and the order was totally wrong, I take that back we did get 2 egg rolls. One order was fried rice, sweet fire chicken and some sort of beef the other was fried rice and 2 different chicken options neither being the string bean chicken and no rangoons. So after driving there 15 minutes, waiting about 15 minutes, driving home 15 minutes and back another 15 minutes. I go in, and ask if they can correct my order. The manager made eye contact with me but didn't say anything. I give one of the kids working my receipt and open the lids and say this is not what we ordered after he says what's wrong with it. He says oh we have your order here. Which they did. The girl from the window came out and said I'm so sorry that's my fault. I said let's just fix it. The first kid said we have your order right here, my response let me see, so i open the first one, is correct. The second was green beans no chicken. I said so are you telling me that you want me to take that home after it's been sitting at least 25 minutes and where are the cream cheese things. He liked dumb founded and said yes but you will have to wait for the rangoons. I said NO I want my money back. Now the manager finally comes out from by the grill area and asks what happened. I refused to tell her the story again. She said the girl at the window had only been there 3 days, I said is not her fault then, someone should be helping her. The manager didn't really say much, I'm not even sure she apologized. I said I well not be back here, every time something is wrong it's just not worth the headache. Sad, so sad...this WAS the only Panda Express we had found that we thought took pride in their service and quality. Boy, were we wrong. The small amount in the made pans was definitely old and not enough for even a serving. The sweet young lady did say they'd make more and fresh. Watched her call in cook(Isaac)(yes, I did ask his name) from side room. Should of guessed then by his attitude things would not go right. First he deep fried the green beans for a "healthy" meal? As I over heard him told by another young employee, "You don't deep fry those!" I was going to overlook that, this visit. Isaac when finished picked up the old pan and was just about to dump the new stuff in the little old stuff. I asked him not to. He did so anyway and told the girl just scoop the good stuff from the side.WTH! REALLY ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Well needless to say she was flustered and put it on rice instead of the vegetables bowl, when I was about to let her know she realized it.,,,but...she scraped it off the rice. No. No, no...in any fast food retail. One I don't do rice. Two, in sanitary, three rice possible allergies. After that I just asked for a complete refund, knowing I couldn't and wouldn't trust anything I aye. Not happening. I felt bad and do feel bad giving and review, but I can't say I wasn't totally turned off from ANY Panda Express for any future road trips...ever! Please take this to the right person in charge...because that is bad business and possible health...
