Nick's Pizza Palace — Restaurant in Owatonna

This is not a professionally managed business. I ordered a large pizza with no red sauce (I'm allergic to red sauce preservatives). The phone operator repeated my order back to me as a large cheese pizza. I OK'd the order, and the pizza arrived with inedible sauce. I called back, very politely informed them they had placed an incorrect order, and the operator replied that "you OK'd the order" and that she would not refund it. I protested in the most reasonable way I could, and the argument continued briefly until (I can only assume) the manager was alerted that I had been "swearing at the server" (an absolute lie). Two others (with very little stake in how much I paid for my pizza) were in the room, and both confirmed that I had ordered the pizza with no sauce, received it with sauce, and ultimately did not swear at the server (at least, until the conclusion of the conversation).

I've spent a good deal of money here, and it's a shame they're throwing away good business.

It ruined an evening, and I'd recommend you find some other petty disagreement to focus on instead of confronting the staff here. Go to the Big Apple. Or even Domino's. If you try here, you're guaranteed...

Here's the setup: it got late, but only about 9:00, and we were hungry. The prior stop turned us down (for what?). We strategized a plan as we consumed a drink and watched the staff and remaining customers sow down on their food. But then flipped the script on the whole dinner deflate. Found Nick's Pizza. And it was awesome. Great tasting pies, cool vibes, normal cost of a variety of tasty morsels. Was very good. And we actually saved money eating there instead. So I'm like I have a few extra bucks to distribute among the A-team pizza providers that Nick's Pizza Palace employs in Owatonna. Seam like hard working, perhaps student age rascals that get along well, and they make good food. I guess u could say I was treated like a king at Nick's Pizza Palace again...I was treated like a king at Nick's...

Service was the worst I've experienced anywhere. We were seated in a booth in short time. Place was packed. Server came to take our drink order, then sat down with her friends to enjoy her own dinner at a nearby table. Someone else, I assume a manager working behind the counter eventually stopped by to ask if our order had been taken. He brought our drink order. Different Server took our food order. We waited about an hour, then my companion went to the counter to check on our order. Dining Server concluded her meal then eventually made it to our table. I said I wanted our food or the check. Within a few minutes pizza arrived. It was delicious, but we won't be back due to the horrendous service. Never had a Server who sits down with friends for dinner in clear view, ...
