Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Owensboro

Working here for three years as manager. I started looking for new job recently and told my assistant manager a friend came up to me and asked about it I said what it was and described it. I then went to new job for interview went back work next day gave them my two weeks, three days into my two week notice I got fired by the boss saying I can’t tell people to come work at another job, he then proceeded to tell me you only have two days let’s just get this over with now. I’ve been thru so much here, I’ve missed birthdays, family emergency’s, and even had come In sick. They will treat you terrible if you call in for sick or anything else, the assistant manager will threaten to fire you for about anything, the kids work longer than is legal, also not to mention even when short staff they put so much pressure on them kids and only start out at $8. If you are not scheduled a day u better not make plans because they like to threaten to fire you if they need you to come in. Also they will remind you that they don’t you, you need them. That’s exact quote by the owner and assistant manager. Both the general manager and assistant like to talk about there management team with regular employees and start drama. Many workers that work there are people they said can’t leave because they need and job and won’t leave Lee’s cause they have to work. I would strongly advise to never work for any Lee’s in Owensboro Kentucky, I’ve gave them so much and they didn’t give back at all. Honestly feel taken...

I will start off by saying, I love Lee's chicken. However, I was not happy with my chicken yesterday. My husband and I ordered 20 spicy wings and a large potatoes and gravy, to go. Everyone at the establishment was very nice but when I got home to eat the food was not good at all. Chicken was hot but not crispy, it was mushy actually AND 20 spicy wings and not a single flat in the box!!! Had I ordered all flats, I would probably have been looked at sideways! Potatoes were cold, gravy warm at best and the biscuits tastes old. I was very disappointed and had to eat something else because I was already home from a long day of work and didn't want to go back out. I will have to rethink my chicken choices...

I usually go to the Lee's on Burlew Blvd but the food and the service has really declined and I'm not basing this on one visit but today was the worst when I arrived the counter boy was mopping and I stood at the counter for 10 minutes as if no one saw me finally the lady working the back saw me and took my order and they were busy and I knew that so I was patient and after waiting another 20 minutes because they had my food sitting on the counter and other people were there so one of them thought it was theirs and finally someone realized it was mine and finally I was on my way home only to find there were only 2 pieces of Chicken when I ordered a 3 piece needles to say I'm frustrated and finished...
