PanAsian Chinese-Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Owensboro

Chinese food is either a hit or miss. Owensboro does not offer a variety of Oriental eating establishments so this is a very narrow good or bad. First off this IS NOT A BUFFET. However the food is good. They offer single order dishes for dine in or take out. I found them to be more authentic to the real deffination of chinese than a American version all caked with breaded meat and tons of sugar. Don't let the place scare you off...it is in a old strip mall and the interior could use some work. I contribute this to probability the flow of income and location. The place was clean and nice looking. Relaxed but the food was lacking. The steak on the hibachi menu was tougher than woodpecker lips. Ended up leaving several pieces just chewed up and the rest no touched. Tired of chewing. Clear soup had little taste with 2-3 tidbits of mushroom and scallions in it. Really scimpy. Wouldn’t cost much to add more substance to it to make a difference. And last, the egg rolls. Hardly in food inside of those either. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I'm glad circumstances made me choose it. The prices were extremely reasonable (less than $8 for my entreé, soup, and egg roll), portions were huge (I ate 3 times from one order), and the food was amazing! I made a small request and asked them to add a vegetable to my dish and they had no problem fulfilling my request. Food is prepared to order, is ready quickly, and packed well for takeout. I was very pleased with my entire experience here and will be returning. I believe I've found my new go-to spot...
