This was my first experience with Legends. I ride a canyon spectral 5.0 AL. I had damaged the spokes on my rear wheel and decided to take my bike in to get repairs done. I requested to have the spokes replaced and also asked what a tune up included. I was told the bike is checked for any loose bolts or screws, a light cleaning across the bike to clean off any excess grease or dirt, wheels checked for alignment both front and rear, Derailleur would be adjusted to perform adequately if needed, brakes checked, and chain would be checked for stretching. I was called and told my bike was ready about 8 days later. I then went to pick up my bike in Owensboro, which I live about an hour away from. Unfortunately when I arrived a single spoke was replaced but the rest were still bent and compromised. I spoke with the kind lady there and she informed me that if I was unsatisfied I could leave my bike and they could replace the rest, which was okay despite the inconvenience of the drive. Another 5-6 days passed and I received a call from a kind man named Breckley who does repairs there. He informed me he took the wheel off and replaced all the inner spokes for me and that my bike was ready. I was able to pick my bike up about 4-5 days after his call. When I received my bike I was shocked to find I paid $120+ to find a bike that was compromised worse than when I left it. I was happy to see all my spokes replaced. Unfortunately the rest I can say is NOT GOOD. I immediately noticed the bike hadn’t been cleaned, not even lightly. My derailleur was offset at the lowest gear and my chain would slip right off. My dropper post switch was loose and the bolt was nearly recessed all the way out of the threads, but worst of all was my rear wheel was NOT TRUE AT ALL. it had a drift of about 30 millimeters. My brakes were rubbing the discs constantly, and my bike feels entirely unsafe after the transaction. I still have not gotten the bike fixed and I feel like I was robbed. Breckley was friendly, but told me when I doubted that I received what I paid for that “it’s a mountain bike”. The bike has never been ridden hard and has stayed at a local park and it’s walking trails. I was so disappointed that this place let me down and made my problems worse. I HIGHLY recommend not taking your bike to Legends in Owensboro for repair. especially if it’s a mountain bike because you are not going to get the service...
Read moreMy wife and I went here for the first time today looking for shoes. The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful. After using a computer system to look at our feet and pressure points while walking and standing we were explained what the system showed and what they suggested for us. We both tried on several pairs of shoes before finding what each of us liked. We never felt rushed or felt like we were left with any questions. I'd say this was the most pleasant show shopping experience we have had. Highly...
Read moreWhat an amazing place . . . I called right when they opened because I had two flat tires. I’m on a 20 day bike packing trip along the Ohio River, and wanted to get on the road as soon as possible. The woman that answered the phone and met me at the front desk when I came in was so sweet, and the man who fixed both of my flat tires did an amazing job and was so kind. He refused to charge me, and I can continue on my trip. Thank you so much Legends, what an amazing...
