I was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere of the establishment warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, creating a truly enjoyable dining experience. Blendi, the owner, deserves special recognition. Not only was he incredibly polite and professional, but his presence and leadership clearly set the tone for the entire team. It’s rare to see an owner so hands on and genuinely invested in ensuring every guest feels valued. His passion for hospitality shines through in every detail, from the service to the ambiance. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Jehona, whose warm spirit and genuine kindness left a lasting impression. She greeted every guest with grace and respect, bringing such a positive energy to the room. The food was outsourcing some of the best Italian cuisine I’ve had in quite some time. The charming decor lets you know you are about to experience an outstandingly tasteful meal. The buratta is amazing to start alone with flavorful tastes of their drinks from their personal menu. The sauce accompanying the lobster ravioli explodes the taste buds and the fresh eggplant pramesan is to die for. One of the owners personally comes around to be sure you are completely satisfied and they are sure to make you feel like family when you leave. The chocolate mousse is 5 to end the night. This place makes you feel as if you have come into the chef and partners personal home and they've prepared your meal just for you. To be open only a month and almost averaging 5 stars shows love has gone into the dedication of opening a true Italian restaurant. Dont waste your time dining elsewhere. Once here you are at home. Basilico is a welcome addition to Oxford’s dining scene, offering authentic Italian flavors with a contemporary touch. We began with the fried calamari, perfectly crisp and paired with a fragrant basil aioli and marinara that lifted every bite.

For my entrée, I chose the Chicken Francese. The cutlets were tender, delicately coated, and served in a sauce with a distinctive character that set it apart from any preparation I’ve had before—truly delicious.

To finish, the Tiramisu was light as air, with balanced espresso notes and just the right hint of sweetness.

Owners Blendi and Labi were attentive and gracious, creating an inviting atmosphere that made the evening feel special. Basilico blends skillful cooking, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality—an experience worth seeking out.
