The Country Creamery Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Oxford

Been here several times, always great but today's visit was exceptional. Dan served us and his customer service is what every customer service experience should be. Not only was he extremely friendly, but patient and had phenomenal recommendations. Even warned me that my child was asking for something wildly huge and he played along that they were all "out" to order something appropriate sized. My son also really wanted a gumball but I only had 2 dimes and a nickel he asked the woman (I presume she was the owner) for a quarter in exchange and she was so sweet, she took his change (25 cents) and gave him TWO quarters and said I hope you win! $17.50 for three small ice creams in a cup... none of what we received was as advertised. The Cookie Monster was perceived to be a hard ice cream that had cookies in it... not a cookie with ice cream on top of it. The coconut toastie was believed to be hard ice cream w marshmallows and coconut to then be topped with coconut... not vanilla ice cream with a marshmallow syrup and toasted coconut. The other was plain vanilla so that they didn't mess up. None of us were happy and none want to go back. I'm sorry for the harsh words but it was a disappointment.

I've been disappointed everytime I go here. Had a milkshake that tasked like straight milk. And their ice cream is sub par. The last time I went, I showed up at 820 (they closed at 8) and the door was open and they were still serving. After I get in with my friend the owner muttered audibly about how people just have to have their ice cream. Then we got our ice cream with no choice of size or topping. And on the way out we said "thank you have a nice night" and were met with "yeah whatever" last time I will visit. I'll drive the extra 5 minutes...
