I especially want to give a shout out too Daniel who works in the morning for going above and beyond. He took it upon himself too pick up a homeless individuals stuff place all of the items back in the duffel bag that was present and relocated the items to an area that would be safe for this individuals belongings until they returned to collect them. He could have been like the majority of business employees and treated the local homeless population like they are not even human beings and watched as someone's entire life was thrown away without a second thought. Granted the individual should have been more responsible and picked up his/her belongings and put them somewhere safe but at the same time you never know what mental capacity any individual is functioning act and perhaps picking up and keeping his/her property with them is not a concept that they are familiar with or even understand. So I truly applaud Daniel for his kindness, consideration, and compassion that he showed this morning. He's a great example of what humanity on a whole should strive to mirror. I myself have been going through severely difficult times in my life and at this moment I'm living out of my vehicle that isn't registered or insured because I simply can not afford the smog and than the registration fees without employment. Being as I am homeless and it's not always easy regularly showering, washing my clothes, eating healthy, finding electricity I can use to charge my phone and portables and so on and so forth, actually finding employment, being prepared for interviews or approaching businesses for employment, and maintaining stability and structure to hold the job is twice as hard. I've also found that business's that are hiring usually are not interested in hiring homeless people no matter thier employment history, experience, education, military background and any other skills they might possess because of the stigma associated with being homeless. If you're taking the time to read this review remember nobody is better than any other person, don't judge a book by it's cover, you never know another person's story or what brought them to where they are at today. Practice kindness, compassion, and being humble. Always remember just because someone doesn't have a "house" to live in doesn't mean that they are any less of a person than you. A simple smile, kind hello, and/or any act of kindness will change a person's day and attitude, perhaps even change the course of a person's life. Showing an individual that's experiencing hard times a little bit of kindness and treating them like they are human beings can be the first steps to a person regaining self-worth, hope, and confidence in themselves. In the blink of an eye life as you know it may change forever and it could be you walking in the very shoes you pass judgement on so easily. I know because it...
Read moreI find it ironic that four times I've visited your carls jr restaurant in north oxnard Blvd waiting in line for my turn to make my orders your employees at register always have the need to leave the register to use the restroom leaving me to wait for service for extended period of time longest I've waited was 5 minutes till its obvious that no one is opening register while I wait especially the male manager (obvioly homosexsual) that took the stressful time to take my order at one time I asked if your establishment offers milkshakes and to my disappointment informed me that no carls jr does not still I made my order and ended up receiving a cold soggy burger cold limp unsalted fry a large cup of tinted ice two sips and done with your delicious (I ASSUME) refreshment while I had waited some 15 minutes for order to be left on counter without being notified of order ready to pickup and enjoy now I'm curious to know DOES CARLS JR. You food will take forever (upwards of 30 minutes) to come out and when it does, it might be cold.
Here's my story. I ordered a chicken sandwhich, it came out cold. They were super busy so hey mistakes happen. I drove back to the joint and told them what happened and asked for a new sandwich.
At this point they're about to get a 2-star rating. They only chance at a 3-star would be if they really were sorry for their pore service and expedited a new sandwich for me. Burger joints should never be sending out cold food no matter how busy they are. I would rather wait another 3 minutes than have to go home with my food only to discover it's undercooked and then have to bring it back.
So I go back but this experience is worse. I guess it fixing their mistakes don't matter to them because they pretty much put me at the bottom of the priority list. I'm not asking for VIP service, I just want a chicken sandwich, fully cooked, like I was supposed to get when they charged me the first time for my sandwich.
In the end I waited more than 40 minutes. I asked for my money back and left...
