Vineyard cafe — Restaurant in Oxnard

This was such a disappointing experience. When we first got their we waited like 7 min for the front of house to "seat" us... Was going to put us by the door which was crowded with people standing there waiting.. asked if we could go to another table and give the ok only to be told as soon as we sat down that we needed to move for a reservation table that wasnt set up... Was given the wrong drink then being told my original drink was unavailable(rootbeer).. it's like no one communicates with each other. Food was clearly cooked from frozen(later confirmed) and canned/jarred sauce. My father ordered chicken and waffles. Didn't come out with syrup and had to walk inside to get some(they still told us we had to wait for it to come out) because we couldn't find our waiter... There was 7 waiters walking about but didn't assist anyone but their own few tables, when tried to ask for assistance was dismissed and told they'd find my waiter which they didn't do i had to find him... So same dish came with 1 small chicken patty not actual chicken and not even the tenders that's advertised on their website. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo pasta... They use linguine which is way too thick of a pasta for their sauce... They piled so much shredded Parmesan that it tastes like just cold cheese and pasta and there were exactly 3 pieces of broccoli... My original fork was dirty had to track down my waiter for like 5 min to get a new fork and waited even longer to find waiter and ask for a check and Togo box... People around us were getting their bottomless mimosas and it seemed like that was the main reason for the amount of clients.... I never make reviews but I just had to share the bad...

On Oct 12th 2023 my friend and I decided to go eat at this establishment. It wasn't crowded plenty of tables available. We were instructed to sit anywhere we liked and we did . Was given our menus then left waiting for a server to come back, there were plenty of servers tending things even some talking with other employees sitting down and maybe on a break .so 30 plus minutes past and finally some lady server took our drink order. 30 mins later a male server took our order . My friend ordered a omelet and asked for the omelet to be without onions and the holinday sauce that it comes with but didn't want it on her omlete , well it came smothered with those items yuck. My omlete stated it came with sour cream and it wasn't placed on the side or in it and I ordered it for that reason. Also I took a big mouth full and upon chewing I felt a object it was a long piece of hair yucky. I showed the server he had it replaced, we had to ask for extra napkins and another server rolling his eyes brought back exactly one napkin wow horrible service and food the placed looked unkept and we weren't even offered a discount for that hair in the food ewwww I will never go there again ever and tell people watch what goes into their mouth if they go there. My Husband took me to have breakfast at Vineyard Cafe it was our first time there and as soon as we step in the patio we were Greeted by a beautiful smile and Good Morning then we requested to be outside which they quickly accommodate us and we had no issues with bringing our Dog they were very Welcoming and our Server name was MARIA very Friendly and took our beverage order and she was on top of her game when it came to her spiel. We decided to order a Bloody Mary and let me tell you the Best Spicy Bloody Mary’s I had in a long time if I have to say I really think this was the best I ever had (No Joke) then we ordered 2 of the Chile Verde Omelette plate with red potatoes and hash browns with a side order of pancakes that was served to us with fresh strawberries and whip cream (Yum) and we ordered sausages for our dog (he was happy enjoying his breakfast too) we ate everything and it was a Great experience from beginning to end our check came out to be a little over a $100.00 but that was tip included and we ordered extra sides so it was reasonable in my opinion I asked our Server MARIA if she can get her manager and JAZZ came to our table with a smile and I expressed my gratitude to her and her staff and stated I will be returning back...
