Workshop is hands down my favorite coffee shop—not just in Missouri, but in the entire U.S. I discovered it during my last week of remote work, and my only regret is finding it too late. Visiting from Miami, I was blown away by how cozy, intentional, and inspiring this space is.
For me, it was the perfect spot to work: full of natural daylight, beautifully detailed in design, and with an atmosphere that felt both homey and uplifting. Even with music playing and families around (often with kids), it never felt loud, chaotic, or overwhelming. Instead, it always felt organic, balanced, and welcoming. Some days I’d drop in for just an hour or two; other days I’d stay from open until close—and it always felt like the right choice.
The coffee is delicious, the menu is small but thoughtfully curated (everything I tried was excellent), and the staff was warm and kind every single day. Beyond the coffee, Workshop is also a community hub: one day I enjoyed live music from a local singer, another day there was a beer garden, another time a farmers market. Each experience added a new layer of charm.
The setting itself is beautiful—overlooking an herb garden and farm, with plenty of outdoor space to sit, work, or let kids play. There’s even a mini store with unique gifts and fresh bouquets from the farm up front, which adds such a thoughtful touch.
Workshop is the kind of place that works for everyone: a quiet work session, a coffee meeting, a family lunch, or just a quick drink. If they rented it for events, I’d book it in a heartbeat. It’s the rare kind of space where everything aligns so seamlessly that inspiration just flows.
Truly perfection. I already miss it and can’t wait to return. Way to go, Workshop family—you’ve created something very special, and I wish you continued growth...
Read moreWent here with my mom and my two sisters. Our main problem was there was only one menu to look at and it was on normal size sheet of paper. You could only see it when you got up to order, which created stress for us because there was a very long line behind us. I’d love to see a larger menu on the wall complete with prices... even a chalkboard that you guys could write it on since it’s subject to change (and chalkboard would look nice in the atmosphere). Secondly, the food my sister ordered did not like good at all since she got it to go. The lady made her a beautiful yogurt parfait, but realized that our order was to go, and then grabbed a pre made parfait out of a fridge that was small and sad. It was disappointing for her because she was so excited about the beautiful creation the lady had made for her. My mom commented that the normal drip coffee tasted like soap. She also felt that it was very unclear what you are supposed to do when you get in. Maybe if they have a sign telling you to order here, it would help a lot. I ordered a chai latte, and was a little disappointed when I realized that it was only a powder. It would be amazing to have a cafe/coffee shop in the Ozarks which makes their own chai from fresh ingredients. Over all I was content with my experience. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t amazing. Therefor I gave...

Ambiance: A 5-star restoration of a 1930s industrial garage ticks all the boxes - exposed brick, hanging Edison bulbs, and a curated selection of local art. It's the kind of place you post on Instagram to make your friends from St. Louis jealous. 💯 Making you feel more sophisticated or upper-class than you actually are.
Food: The menu is concise and seasonal, with avocado toast and house-made pastries reigning supreme. It's tasty, and small and, a tad overpriced for the portion sizes. Think fancy coffee shop fare, not farm-to-table feast. 🤏💰
Verdict: If you're looking for a trendy escape with a side of decent coffee, The Workshop might hit that spot. Just be prepared to pay a premium for the Ozarkian "bougie" experience. 💸😜
Overall: 3 out of 5 stars.
Bonus: Check out their calendar for workshops, from cocktail mixology to floral arranging. It's a great way to justify the extra bucks and leave with a new skill (or at least a cute Instagram...
