Better hope they get your order correct because if that’s not the case they will blame it on the customer and make you feel like you are trying to steal from them. The owner literally excused her awful behavior because she said “you wouldn’t believe how many people call in to try and get free food”. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to drive all the way home only to discover my order was packaged wrong only to be told (insisted) that it was correct. All I was expecting was for the dish they messed up to be replaced instead I was offered a store credit of less than $1 for the sauce they didn’t put on the dish. I guess I was supposed to eat plain rice and dry chicken. Since they obviously didn’t believe me I offered to bring the order back so they could see their error but they refused saying “we can’t take that back”. I just don’t understand their logic. Why alienate loyal customers over something that could ‘ve been rectified very easily. I do understand their business stays busy and staffing is limited and sometimes mistakes happen. I was very polite when I called to make them aware of the error. The owner was rude and kept interrupting saying she didn’t have time to discuss because they were too busy when all I wanted was the dish I actually ordered. They made a HUGE deal out of a problem with a simple solution. Usually when a small error or omission has been made we don’t even say anything because it’s not worth the aggravation. Unbelievably upsetting and unbelievably poor customer service. This same scenario has played out on several different occasions over the years not just this time and every time it’s the same which is why I’m leaving this review. The last time it happened I checked my order before leaving and was missing a small sweet and sour sauce and they INSISTED I didn’t order it. I even offered to pay for it again on the off chance I hadn’t been charged. Do you think I’m trying to rip you off for some sweet and sour sauce after sitting in your line for 30 minutes. The worst thing is it’s always your word against theirs because they don’t itemize their receipts they give the customer. So...
Read moreVisited the Golden Dragon for the first time. I'm a big fan of cashew chicken and love finding a new place that excels at the dish. I read that others loved cashew chicken from here, so I gave it a shot.
First off, the drive thru is really tight, and there is no speaker - you order and wait at the same window. That's going to kill productivity and wait times, since they don't know what to make til the person gets to the window. Also, the drive thru lane is only one car wide, so if you were to get your order before the person in front of you - sorry, you're stuck! Those are minor things but probably add to wait times and frustration.
The lady working the window was friendly and fast and had my food ready in about 3-4 minutes.
The cashew chicken combo includes the cashew chicken, rice, two fried wontons, and an egg roll. It's $1 extra for white meat chicken. The egg roll was pretty standard. The wontons actually had a nice piece of pork inside, whereas most have a speck of meat. They were crispy and good. The cashew chicken was good. There was nothing special about it, but it was hot and had enough flavor to be good. I like a more bold cashew sauce for more flavor. The chicken was drenched in the cashew sauce, so it wasn't crunchy, which I don't mind, but some might.
All around, it was a good meal at a great price. They have an extensive menu, so you can definitely find something...

There was 4 of us and every Chinese restaurant I have visited they easily substitute sauces on a dish. Here, they did not want to even consider it for the animal eaters who did not want spicy on a dish otherwise acceptable to them. THEN I asked if their tofu dishes were vegan, and after a series of questions as they tried to figure out what was in the food they were selling to the public, it was determined that unlike MOST Chinese restaurants, they do not use vegetable broth, they use flesh broth. So we said we would have to leave and FINALLY Young came out and offered to cook a meal for us vegans using water instead of flesh broth, assuring us of a completely vegan meal. I think “mom” wanted people to take it her way or the highway and son was willing to seek new customers and was very kind and understanding. He said to tell other vegans to ask for “Young’s vegan tofu and veggies” so others can order it. So we ordered spicy tofu and it was not spicy but they did bring hot pepper flakes upon request. The animal eaters did not really like their meals, our vegan ones were ok. They batch cook their fried rice so it is not made fresh for each customer. Will find another option next...
