It was good.
The blueberry tea is the reason I am going back. That might seem crazy but I don't know, there was something about it that was the right amount of sweetness and taste. I don't understand it but I do enjoy tea and this was some awesome tea.
The chicken salad sandwich was alright. It wasn't mostly mayo like some places. It had the right mix of wet and substance so to speak. The bread was alright for white bread. The cheese could have been better. Cheese is cheese and it was alright, it didn't diminish the sandwich. The tomatoes was good. I always worry about lettuce and tomato since places tend to skimp on the vegetables making a great or good sandwich suck. This place did not, the tomatoes was great and added to the sandwich taste. I may try it with lettuce next time since this place appears to care about the whole of the sandwich.
The cherry pie was a pie. I don't think I will order it again. There are other places with far better pies. Pies I would go to the place just to order their pie. This is not such a place. Pie game could use some improvement. It is pie so if you like pie then you should be happy. The crust game is decent. It is hard to describe. It is like cafeteria pie. Edible and briefly helps keep the sadness away but doesn't fulfill like other pies. I don't feel like crying from happiness when eating the pie like I do at some...
Read moreI checked in with the hostess stand and was told that our wait for a party of 2 would be 30 minutes and she then told me to walk around the store and I said I would probably just wait outside and she sarcastically said "ok" and rolled her eyes. I proceeded to wait and after 40 minutes returned to the front in hopes of being seated to which the same hostess said we needed to continue to "shop and get out of her way". I then said I was told I had a 30 minute wait that we were well past and she rudely responded that there were still "SIX" parties in front if us and again to get out of her way. Obviously, I left and will not be back. In addition, the girl who was taking Togo orders was very much in everyone's way and when saying "excuse me" to get past her she did not move at all. I will not be back here ever again and would never recommend them to...
Read moreA jewel in Ozark! Delicious desserts - think pie and cake and RICH! Plus the menu items are classic and reasonably priced
I had the spicy turkey sandwich on marble rye with passionfruit/cherry iced tea. My daughter had the chilled strawberry soup. We shared a slice of pumpkin cake!
Everything and I mean everything here is delicious and priced so well! The service is outstanding and the restaurant is charming.
If you come at the lunch rush you will have to wait but it’s usually not too bad. They don’t take reservations and your whole party MUST be there before they seat you. Just a heads up!
Park behind the building and enter in the back entrance. Don’t try to walk around to the front.
Overall this is a TREAT in Ozark and one you shouldn’t miss. I’ve come here for years and I’m always hungry when I come and happy...
