I ordered a Route 44 Vanilla Dr. pepper, a Route 44 Dr Pepper; mozzarella sticks, and cheddar bites. The first time the car hop came out they didn’t even bring my drinks. Then when they came back I got drinks that I didn’t even order and didn’t realize it till I got home. When I tried calling the line was busy for an hour so I couldn’t even get my actual drink. I realize they are short staffed but if there is an order that simple it shouldn’t get messed up and the line shouldn’t constantly be busy. My order gets messed up just about every other time. The only reason I go back is because it’s the only one where I live. I used to work there and i got sick so I couldn’t work for a week. I called every day to tell them I couldn’t come in plus gave them a Drs. Note. They are saying that I never called. They don’t treat there employees right. They are overworked. When you start they tell you that you get a 30 minute break. Grill people don’t get that thought no matter how long they worked. The managers can go outside whenever they want for a vape break or just to sit. But I got in trouble when I asked to step outside because I was getting to hot and fell like I was going to pass out. One manager came outside and said that we aren’t allowed to go outside we must stay in the building. And then he proceeded to go outside every 10 minutes. I was closing with them and since the car hop and I was both a minor we had to go outside with the manager every couple minutes so he could use his vape. Making it to where I didn’t get home till almost 2 in the morning. And when I said I didn’t know if I had a ride he asked another person to take me home a new driver without even making sure I was comfortable with it. We close at 11 and I didn’t get home till around 2. I don’t think that’s how you should treat your employees. So I did call and I told them I needed to quit and I talked to a manager...
Read moreI love the new renovation, the building is absolutely beautiful.
However,
Tonight I have had by far the worst experience at this location. I understand ordering at 10:30 at night is a bit close to closing and I understand a bit of a wait. Unfortunately, I waited 25 minutes for the #12 Chicken meal, an order of French toast sticks, and a cherry slush.
After waiting all that time, I had to ask for a fork and syrup, as well as needing to wait more time because, as I’ve realized, most of the parking spots have card payment issues.
Once I got home i was just excited to dig into my sweet and savory meal. However, I open it and realize my French toast is burnt? How? I understand ordering a breakfast item so late is a bit unusual, but the fact they ended up burnt is strange to me.
Finally, similarly to other reviews, I saw two to three employees just sitting and chatting outside, and other people who walked up to the outside seating order got their full meals before I did.
This sonic used to be a pillar of the community, especially for high schoolers and families. However, after this renovation, everything feels sloppy and mismanaged. This is the third time I’ve had an issue (the other times being incorrect orders), and I feel that others should be aware of the state of Ozark sonic. I love the food and am so dissapointed, I wish employees were given more training so that this wouldn’t...
Read moreI had a frustrating experience here. Part of my order was missing. Specifically a 3-piece chicken strip and when I called, they told me I couldn’t get a refund and would have to drive back to pick it up. I had already been on the highway for about 5 to 10 minutes, and turning around wasn’t easy. I wasn’t even the one driving, my friend was, so asking him to turn around just to fix the restaurant’s mistake felt really inconvenient. It is also really inconvenient for me to go back myself and pick up my missing order. Its a 40-minute round trip for me, and I don't even live here, go to school here, or work here so I don't have any particular reason to return here.
They didn’t offer any kind of compensation until I asked if there could be something for the inconvenience. Only then did they mention they could include some coupons. I appreciate that they eventually offered something and said both the missing chicken and coupons won’t expire, but I really wish they had handled things better from the start. A missing item shouldn’t be this hard to resolve, especially when the customer is already trying to work with them...
