Starbucks — Restaurant in Pacifica

I’m a registered nurse and I know Starbucks has the free tall coffee promotion going on right now, so I went at 5:15 pm on 5/16/20 and the male cashier with dark hair refused to honor the promotion. He said it’s only for first responders in uniform. I went to pick up coffee before work, not in uniform but I showed him my ID badge from Stanford Hospital. He still refused to honor it. I don’t have time while at work to go to Starbucks to get coffee... and the Starbucks website doesn’t say we have to be in uniform . Very rude guy. I don’t like to wear my scrubs in public., a picture ID from work clearly indicated I’m a nurse. I had to wait in like 15 minutes just to be turned down. Wouldn’t recommend this...

So apparently they close at 7. I walked in with another customer and they were closing shop.wirh a closed sign. So I asked for verification because clearly it says 730 and they haven't adjusted their hours. The way that little girl looked at me as I and ANOTHER person asked for clarification.... listen I don't care if they are having a bad day, you are not the only one, and it's so disrespectful and disappointing. Went in to get a decaf. But apparently 15 minutes before closing is cutting it too close for them as they had already cleaned their grinder (Starbucks in their infinite wisdom stopped being decaf after 12 noon several years ago) so the barista refused to make me a coffee. Oh well ... NO...
