Firehouse has been my favorite sub place since I lived in Jacksonville, Florida and they were on every corner.
I was lucky enough to have one open in Madison, WI within a month after moving there in 2015 so I didn’t have to give up hearing “Welcome to Firehouse” when I walked in.
Until I moved to Paducah recently, that is as I have never heard it here and I eat there at least 3-4x per month. This location isn’t interested in welcoming its customers apparently.
My most recent visit was to take advantage of their Valentine’s Day email offer.
The young woman working the register was literally trying to be rude. It was clear she had no respect for me as a customer or a person. It was also very clear that a she could not wait for our interaction to end.
There was no issue or drama, it was a lack of any kind of customer service. I watched her laugh and joke around with her coworkers but anytime a customer approached her it was stone faced and intentionally unfriendly.
That’s not who you want taking orders at a restaurant.
My order was also incorrectly made.
I had to drive back and respectfully asked for a new sandwich. Again, there was no drama or animosity but the words “I’m sorry”,“thank you”, or anything else was ever said.
Just, dead silence.
I’m going to miss having Firehouse regularly.
The food is great but your employees don’t like customers.

Read moreI know that anyone that reads this that is affiliated with this location will even care what I say but I'm saying it anyway as a fed up consumer. First off, we came here 35 minutes before closing. Not the optimal time to come to a fast food establishment but we were hungry at it was near. A female (hope I'm ok to assume gender here in this woke era) behind the counter sneezed and then proceeded to wipe her nose. We approached the counter to see if she was prepping our food. The person in charge said she wasn't. Either way, she was behind the counter with our food while it was being prepped, whether she actually touched our food or not I felt as someone with common sense and courtesy to at least walk the 8 feet to the sink to wash her hands but I'm guessing that was too hard and too much to ask of this individual. I mean wouldn't that make sense? Anyhow, I want to thank this location for helping me to not spend money on any fast food establishment in the future. It is a proven fact that these days people have no decency and I feel no shame in leaving this review. Whether someone eats at this location based on this review is not important but you should know that decency and common courtesy are a thing of the past. And fast food workers want more money? If you get a raise none of that money is coming out of my...
Read moreThe food at this place was fine. However, we had to wait 20 minutes past the estimated pick-up time to get our online order and when we finally got it, we did not get all of our order. We are from out of town and didn't catch it until we handed out the food to eat. When I called to let them know we didn't get our order they said we'd have to come back to their establishment (over 2 hours from our house) in order to get the refund. They refused to refund us over the phone. We arrived at this place over an hour before closing, but the "Open" sign was already off, and it seemed the employees were checked out and hoping for no further customers. When I called them about the order, I was very polite but they were rude. I talked to 2 different employees, and both were very "short" with me as if they didn't want to admit they had made a mistake. It may have just been a few dollars, but I would expect an establishment to treat customers with courtesy. In all honesty, the experience was disappointing, so although 5 stars is my typical rating for places I try, this one gets 2. I will go back to Firehouse, but I won't go back to...
