Purchased the premium service package to which covers delivery, Wi-Fi setup,mattress protector install and disposal of old bedding. Delivery guys said they only pick up Sleep Number items and didn’t handle the competitors items which is a lie. Sales said they were supposed to dispose of mattress only. They sure didn’t make that clear when I purchased the service. Who would buy a mattress and frame but only want mattress removed? SMH. Either way it was deceptive by both sales and just a flat out lie by the service department. I wasn’t home so of course they took advantage of my wife’s kindness I tried to call and conveniently got a recording and service was long gone before I could get it resolved. If I was home the new mattress would not have come in. Of course Sleep Number claims to use outside contractors for service so they can wash their hands of any responsibility. I bought a $7000 mattress and frame and spent an extra $350 on the premium service package and they didn’t even put the protector on nor dispose of anything now I’m stuck with the mess on my porch and honesty up front would have prevented this mess. Read moreI want to start off and say that the only positive experience I've had with Sleep Number up to this point is when they were selling me the mattress in store. Since then my delivery date has been canceled 2 times. Both times they canceled within an hour of when they were supposed to be there. So now I've missed 2 days of work without pay due to some ignorant excuses of why my bed can't be there. The first time I was informed it was because a tech had called off work. Two weeks later because the warehouse where the bed is stored is closed. Next scheduled delivery is 9/9 so we will see what excuse they have then. For a company that has been in business as many years as they brag about, they should have all aspects locked down. Read moreStore was fine. Some of the details in the returns process were very misleading. Spoke with a supervisor with Sleep Number, got nowhere. They will pick up the mattress, but we’re stuck with a $2300 base. The mattress is comparable to that of a hospital bed. The sad thing is we had slept on one previously, which is what led us to this. However when delivered from the first night has been miserable. We’ve had to add a foam pad to the mattress just so we don’t feel the bars from the base below. Needless to say we’re going to buy another mattress from a different company. Perhaps would recommend the base, if you like the flexibility, but DO NOT recommend the mattress itself.
