My wife and I are in this place nearly 3 to 4 times a week (if not more) are good friends with all the staff which are all (but. . . one) very friendly and fun loving people. We all talk and joke around together (when people aren't in need of assitance). We share similar interests and thouroughly lo e the staff. Kirsty, Rose, Ion (newer guy), Josh and James are all really cool fun loving people. They always very accomodating to me allowing me a chair to sit in (I'm on a cane) when my wife and I are going through sleeves after sleeve after sleeve of cards in a marathon. Admittedly, the trade value isn't top tier but . . . .I get it (plus its corporate it isnt their faults personally.) Love these guys have spent WAY too much inside store as often as we the two of us go in and just chill for hours hanging out and digging through bulk cards for decks.
That isnt to say there haven't been a few hiccups along the way. Have on occasion gotten a disk or two a little two scratched to play but they either buff it or replace the disk without issue. On a time or two have been given the wrong disk in general, once again fixed without issue or question. They only one big hiccup was a set of speakers for my PC that didn't work. Perhaps not my preffered store for larger ticket items like this. But, they did take care of it in a cordial manner with store credit which I blew instantly on (of course) cards. shrug I do like their bulk as they have a good amount of old cards and UN (UNsanctioned, UNhinged, UNglued).
All in all. . . Prices of games and cards are incredibly reasonable. Will continue spending WAY TOO MUCH to hang out with some cool people we call our friends.
P.S. looking forward to eventuslly going through their record collection as I'm a record collector but with my cane limited in being able to go through them.
They do have a good selection of games for older systems like Collecovision, Sega Dreamcast...
Read moreI buy a lot of video games, both to play and in the interest of collecting. So for that reason, I'm happy this place at least exists, and the staff is usually friendly. But their cataloging system needs some serious work, it's honestly absurd. It takes at least 10 minutes for them to find a game disc, usually because it's not in the right place, and that's if they find it at all. It's entirely possible they'll decide to tell you they "can't find it", despite knowing that their inventory is hopelessly mixed up most of the time, and just leave you with a "tough luck". I will grant they have a massive amount of discs to sort and catalog, but GameStop has been using the exact same system, as do many other used game shops, for a LONG time, and not once have I ever had that problem anywhere else. So beware of that fact if you...
Read moreSo many games!!! But that's not all. Sure they have tons of PS1 thru PS5 used games, NES thru Switch, and Xbox thru X/S, but they also have the consoles to match. Plus they have Sega, Atari, even TurboGrafx 16 and ColecoVision!
There's clothing, pins, unique sodas & candies, new and used vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, Blu Ray, Pokemon & Magic cards, Nerf guns, there is too much too list. It's not really a store, it sort of an experience.
I've been to other GameXChange stores and they are among my favorite brand of game stores, but this one is better than any I have been to. You can bring any kid, or kid at heart, and they can spend hours just looking at everything.
The staff is great! They are helpful and friendly. The only problem I have here is, I never have enough money for...
