I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants and Hispanic and Latin American restaurants. Doesn't make me an expert but I've gained a good idea of what authentic "Mexican" cuisines are. From the outside as well as the inside Mi Lindo Michoacan appears to be like those restaurants an all Mexican roof crew would take me to after a 13 to plus hour work day and to on the weekends however, the tacos ...well for one they don't have cow tongue meat only shredded chicken and beef. Any other plus the food trucks and the mini van set ups all had cow tongue. I ordered the beef soft tacos. Carne asada type. A co worker becoming friends ordered a platter both with Mr pib cause the menchilada was 6 something and didn't appear to be that large beer mug im accustomed to so who wants to pay nearly the price of a six pack of DOS equis for what kind of beer is this? Yet get a mug you might not even get appetite from drinking. You beer drinkers know what im saying. My coworkers plate comes and it was a bit better than the last time he ordered it. Him having to specifically state that he would like to have the chicken in a red sauce with rice to be more thicker than last time. He's from Costa Rica and growing up on similar if not the same foods would know more on the subject, right? Anyways it comes out to me it looks good. To him ehh he was atleast happier than last time. He did say it was good both times. Maybe he being Costa Rican and the restaurant being Mexican had a presence of mind for the two different yet similar cultural backgrounds like Southern US citizens have from each states in the US on what authentic southern foods are suppose to look smell and taste from a dish prepared differently or not even close to what ... My tacos didnt even come with lemon slices nor that grilled jalapeno in addition to the lettuce and onions with cilantro not looking the same as im use to oh thats right what cilantro w onions they replaced it with lettuce to fit US American tastes i guess. And the meat was like they went to taco bell and picked up ground beef and put that in place of the diced thin cut beef that cooked on a grill plate lends to that authentic smell and taste. So long story short. Los Amigos and the Hispanic lady who comes to our work sailing lunch has Mi Lindo Michoacan beat. I can from her atleast get an authentic mexican soda pop or rice milk drink from her if not a bloody marry beer with my tacos that don't come out soggy from too much juice from the meat. The service was excellent until when it was time to pay for the meals that our waitress hand the ten in change to my coworker who paid for the meals, his treat, that I handed to her to change so I could leave the tip. That's the difference between getting five dollars as a tip and getting...
Read moreHave been here on more than one occasion and haven't been disappointed once. The food is always hot and fresh, and delicious. My absolute favorite menu item is the Fajita Luis [always sub for extra chicken / ribs as I don't eat pork or shrimp] The BEEF (don't eat pork) ribs are the absolute BOMB best thing bar none. Tender, juicy, falling off the bone chicken is awesome! Same with the veggies and the spicy peppers that come served with them (on the sides for those that don't like spice. Of which I'm a heatseaker and love this little treat).
My wife when it comes to mexican food is a bit of a traditionalist she only orders what she knows she likes. (Dispite occasional push to try the odd thing.) Is the absolute QUEEN of chicken fajita nachos and loves them everytime we go in!
The servers are (90%) of the time always really nice and attentive keeping drinks full and plates cleared.
The one time I ordered a cocktail (can't remember the name) was so refreshing, fruity and declious. Was six alcohols (vodka, rum, tequila. Blanking on last two was a couple months ago.) Served in a beautiful modified tequila bottle with a bowl on top and a single serve bottle (tequila/ vodka) on the top and choice of two flavors for mixers (I chose strawberry and Mango). Fantasic drink bit pricy as it was more than my wifes dinner at 16$ but also had to take part of it to go in a cup for later (worth.)
Overall, whenever I'm on southside (Paducah) chances are high that I'll be...
Read moreGreat place, I asked around pudacuh and metropolis since me and my buddies were working out of town here and was recommended this place. Was told the food was good and the drinks were great.
They did not lie, I had shrimp tacos and seafood quesadilla it was pretty good, Buddy 1 and 2 had burrioqueso tacos said they were stellar, and buddy 3 had a dinner combo was very pleased with.
We also ordered guac and queso, make sure to tell them you want the homemade fresh guac or else you'll get some green stuff. The homemade guac was delicious.
Now for the drinks. I started off with the don chava. Highly recommend the rim is covered with that stuff on Mexican candy very nice 👍. The buddies had their own margaritas said they were great. And then we got a pitcher and that's the way to go! Cause they fill your glasses up and then give you a full pitcher for like $26 bucks so definitely worth it.
Our waiter axiel was awesome, very friendly, if you needed anything or had any issues he took care of it. Thanks axiel!
The restaurant itself inside is pretty cool, well decorated, got the good Spanish music playing. Booths were comfy.
Highly recommend...
