Have been excited to try it, after a lot of mixed reviews I've received I thought we'd wait a little while let more kinks get worked out... Food was just ok, a couple of things were cold. There is a lot to choose from. The sweet tea was great. It was very noisy with no background noise, feel like there needs to be music going or something to drown out conversations and screaming kids. Walked into 2 employees sitting right there at door very unwelcoming. Went to pay and leave and the girl was stuffing her face litterally with crab ragoons while I paid. Veryyyy unprofessional. I'm allllll for locally owned laid back atmosphere but this was so much less than that. This same girl who took my ticket also sat a man down a few booths from us and he asked for water with lemon, she proceeded to ask do you want the lemon on the side or squeezed into your water, repeated herself looking at him rudely several times because he had no idea what she meant because who asks that and he just said I usually just say water with lemon, do whatever with it. I was really hoping it'd be a better experience then this but I doubt we will drive back that direction to try it again. Price was OK of food had if been a little better and hotter, there is a large variety at least. Also last but not least there is plenty of cleaning to be doing vs sitting around. The floors definitely needed some attention. Buffet itself was clean it seemed so...
Read moreWhen we showed up there was not a lot of people here and when going in the whole place stinker like fried food and bad fish and the lady at the counter ignored us till someone came over like 2 minutes later and we were sat my aunt had asked for just rice on a plate and was told no not an I'm not sure a full on no and the food all looked suspicious with so many mixes looking mostly American food and when getting the food there was a whole row of just fried food and then moving over the soups were just boiling there popping onto the counter and the cold section wasn't better since all the stuff was "labeled" with no warning of what was with it and as someone with food allergies couldn't risk it but the stuff that looked fine tasted horrible so after all of us could barley stomach a plate we went to check out at which point my mother had to argue with the lady about how one of us didn't eat then after that the lady made sure to say that she gave my mother a senior citizen discount while my mother isn't even 45 but my mother just took it before she went outside and went to the car where she started crying so we will never come back and hope for the day they close. Edit: had gotten food poisoning after it was all done being stuck in between a toilet and...
Read moreSo my wife and I came here the day after it opened. We were seated and had a waitress very nice, no issues starting out. (we will circle back to this).
The food wasn't really anything to write home about except probably the most American thing of the chicken wings which were crispy and delicious. Everything else was kinda meh. Not terrible nothing was terrible but nothing, but the chicken wings really stood out either. They do have a large selection that much can be said but do NOT bring a vegetarian here. 99.9% of the stuff on the bar has meat of some kind. The only thing that didn't were the green beans. Used to be a pescatarian years ago. I wouldn't have been able to much of anything here.
Anyways, our normal waitress leaves to go home. (no big deal) except the one that replaced her only came over once and when i asked for water twice while she was at the table to refill the drinks she ignored me entirely brought my wife's drink and walked into the kitchen. . .
Overall 3 stars. The atmosphere isn't anything incredible either but it can get loud and echoey. . . otherwise not worth mentioning. Food was just okay, the service was all over the place and honestly I'd skip it hopefully these are just growing pains...
