Waffle House — Restaurant in Paducah

the lady on the phone was super rude. tried to make a to go order and she said “waffle house” in a super rude tone. and i very politely said “hi i’d like to make a to go order” she said “can u call me back in 5-10 minutes”. i said “no i’m sorry my mom will be almost home and she won’t wait for the food. i’m sorry!” and she said “i’m doing something. i’m cashing someone out. i’m busy okay? you can call me back” and i said “well what i’m saying is my mom is on her way home from reidland.” and she said “okay? sorry?” and i just said “yeah” and hung up. she was so rude the entire time i talked to her. all i wanted was to make a to go order and when i politely declined her offer to call her back, she got snappy with me for no reason. this waffle house is filled with rude staff who look messed up all the time. i will definitely go to the calvert city one next time....

Sadly this was the first negative experience I had at this location. My wife and I have always enjoyed dining here before. I stopped to order food to go, the all star platter for my wife and the sausage grits bowl for my self. I also ordered a side order of bacon and toast. Unfortunately when I checked out my order of toast was forgotten and the waitress had to make it for me, plus my bacon was not limp as i ordered. When I returned home the waffle for my wife's platter was also not in the bag. I tried calling into the diner but all I got was a message of they don't take orders over the phone. That was a poor response to not be able to get a hold of someone plus a main part of our entree missing. First of all we are usually really good tippers. Whatever is on our hearts. I did not feel guilty for leaving $3 because our order was $17 and I paid with a $20. Smiles and thank yous go a long ways. We saw or heard none. I'll just leave it at that. We wished we had the male waiter. He greeted us and was friendly Food wise-you are called Waffle House. I have never been to one and was looking forward to deliciousness. The waffle was flat and overcooked. My scrambled eggs were under done his over medium eggs were well over that. Food was lukewarm and sausage came 5 minutes later and over done but hot. I will try another Waffle House because I love waffles but I'm grateful I'm...
