Kountry Kastle — Restaurant in Paducah

I used to love this place. The food was amazing and cheap. But they've slowly gone down hill. Walking into the restaurant is the bar with some booths. Then you walk back into another rooms with booths, then a small alcove with booths and finally the back room! HUGE. Tables in the back and even a back patio and warm room for those colder nights. Seat yourself!! This hole in the wall used to be THE BEST hands down. Loud music, great atmosphere, great people and great service. I realize that Covid has messed everything up. They've recently raised prices quite a bit. And the food doesn't taste as good as it used to and with the FEW exceptions to waitresses, service is terrible. They have taken a lot of the tables out and practicing social distancing. Maybe that's why the service is terrible 🤷‍♀️ the only thing consistent in the restaurant is messing up orders. Nothing tastes the same as it used to. I was very disappointed with our BBQ nachos with the exception of their AMAZING BBQ sauce. You can literally drink the stuff!! The super nachos were an absolute joke. I remember when the nachos were so big, 3 people could easily eat off them. Now they barely have enough to feed a child. The burger was good. Always, ALWAYS get Texas toothpicks!!!! And their fried are amazing!! The fried cauliflower was delicious. I'd still recommend at this point, but there are certain things that I will stick...

There was a dead fly in my drink. My food came out cold. The server didn't ever come back to the table after she had brought some stuff. Never brought out some food and drinks that were ordered. It must have been an off night cause it's usually pretty good there, but tonight not so much.

Update 8/11/23

Asked for salad. First salad comes out and there's not the ingredients they listed as well as the lettuce was brown. Tell the waitress it's brown. They said they prepped them that morning. They bring me another salad, different ingredients this time. The bell pepper ring was slimy and the single tomato wedge looked like it was several days old. Upon further investigation, that lettuce was brown as well. I opted to not ask for another replacement.

If you're trying to eat healthy, or even trying to figure out options if you have intolerances or allergies, this is not the place.

Music is always deafeningly loud to the point you can't hear what yourself or others with you are saying.

Food quality is awful and they're constantly running out of stuff. First thing told to us before ordering was they're out of cauliflower.

Will be updating this review. Have seen service and food go way down from when first went in to establishment in 2005. Owners need to camp out or put in cameras so they can see how things really do occur. Instead of what certain manager wants to make it out to be in her fantasy world of make believe. Read reviews here and on their page. Speaks for itself and speaks volumes. Take sunglasses off. Was way better when Tammy was managing at night for them. That proves service is going way down. Heck look at parking lot it stayed crowded from open to close. Now definitely not the case. I had been eating there for many years! Prior to a recent ocurrente of when I asked for a manager. Then the person came out in attack mode and didn't want to hear my side to story. They most definitely should not be managing the bathroom even with their attitude, accusations and made up stories. They definitely don't like being questioned or voicing concerns when something is not right. I have witnesses to the occurences of when this manager came out with her claws out like a cat at me. Which was totally uncalled for. I would appreciate talking to...
