Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Pagosa Springs

Visiting this beautiful town is always a highlight. Being able to grab a quick bite after a long day is always a plus. This location has has its ups and downs from previous visits but tonight’s will be my last. Local or tourist save your time and money. After patiently waiting in line for thirty minutes it was finally our turn. Upon pulling up to order the young lady tells us to wait just a minute. Of course we will, pretty normal for drive thru. After waiting a couple of minutes she comes back on and says “my manager said we are closing soon” and then crickets… I asked are y’all not going to serve me and the other five vehicles in line… crickets yet again. She never came back on the intercom. We waited a couple of more minutes before just giving up and driving to our cabin. This all occurred today July 28, 2023 at 10:15 pm. You know after hearing the people In front of us order and the girl telling the car in front of us that she couldn’t hear his order because the manager was yelling too loud should have been a pretty good indicator as to what to expect . Did I talk to anyone, no they wouldn’t respond. Call, I tried no answer. I guess this review and another call to the GM will be in order in...

9/102023. My husband and I walked over to this location b/c it was 2 blocks from our motel. We pressed the red button in the front walk up area and waited....waited, waited, waited...no response. There was only 1 car in the drive thru at the time. 2 other cars came through and we were still ignored. After 10 more minutes of being ignored, I poked my head in the door and politely (as the friendly Texan I am) asked, "Excuse me, we've been waiting out front..." to which the young man who announced himself as "I'm only the cook" and dismissed me. I further asked if there was someone else I can talk to, and he turned to a woman standing further behind the counter. When she finally looked up and I tried to address her about our long wait in front, even after several cars had come through after us, she raised her voice with great impatience and proceeded to tell me to get in the drive thru. I attempted to further the conversation with how we walked up (not in a car) and she interrupted me with a more raised voice and said they didn't have time blah, blah, blah. Just the absolute level of nastiness and uncouth from her was more than we would tolerate. We simply left. Do yourself a favor and...

She made us move because it was after 9:00 from the stall that we wanted to sit in said that she was the only one there and that she would get to as soon as we moved well after ordering a man is walking around with doing the garbage and boy brought it out to us and she didn't even never see her so but the food was good they tried and we were like 9:00 9:30 getting there My hamburger was actually cold and our fries were lukewarm That's really my complaints I guess but Sonic overall is a good company they always hire teenagers that are in school and coming out of school and reasonable enough to pay them a halfway decent salary I don't know about the salary here for them because I don't have anybody working there anymore back where I'm from they I'm really like to hire a kids because they know the kids won't stay that long so you know how it goes easy you know easy labor with no fuss cuz they can only work so many hours if they're in school and so many hours if they're in college but my score is not for all sonics it is for the Sonic that I'm doing...
