Waffle House — Restaurant in Painttown Community

This was indeed a strange visit ladies and gentleman . I was vacationing in Cherokee nc , or so I thought ... As I walked in I was greeted with the usual greasy lights and pride filled aroma of southern munchy food but something was a little off . There wasn't a single sound . I kept trying to speak but it was almost like there was an audio black hole ,no dishes , chatter , foot step , sizzle , flip , slurp , yawn , giggle or chuckle . To be heard .although all this was taking place i wasthe only one affected . I try and scream , they look at me in shock , but. still .no .sound. I try and test the predicament but it just causes them to get very scared at this point and threaten me with handdfulls of projectile Bert's chili wads and fiery waffles dipped in gas and sharpened to inflict WH style beat down upon me . I quickly re coil , sit down , eat my apple pie with a cheese slice on it for some reason , and close my eyes to blink and as quick as that I reopen to see a over head fan and a bedroom ceiling that was mine .....folks , I was baffled , stunned , dismayed and down rite scared form declining mental health . As I lay back down repeat the eye close , yawn for effect and Shazam! Was back in Cherokee on a raft....I am not sure what is real anymore ...I'm going cray...only thing worth mentioning about it all was that the food and politeness of that staff was convincing . Even if it was a dilusion of my ever decreasing "marbles"...

Dirty floors. Poor service. Filthy tables. Just because this is a chain restaurant does NOT mean to neglect basic standards. Clearly, that's too tall an order for this location, and the staff it somehow still has. If this is the answer to the rise in unemployment, I guess humanity really is on a downward spiral.

Several tables were filthy, but no staff made any attempts to clean any of them. One of the waitresses was more interested in playing with silverware than serving customers. It'd be one thing if she was prepping silverware, but she was staring aimlessly around like she was trying to look busy. Several other staff members walked back and forth repeatedly like they were trying to look like they were doing something, but were in reality trying to avoid doing real work. Our waitress said she'd be right with my table, and then it took ages for her to come. And when she did finally come, she was perhaps the RUDEST server I've ever had. She didn't have a tag, but if you see a woman with short brown hair and gold hoop earrings, carrying a purple pocketbook, that's her. She also played around with silverware, even dropping several pieces on the floor. And even when she wandered around doing nothing, she didn't even TRY to pick them up. Several people nearly stepped on them. My advice; don't come here hungry. You'll be...

WAFFLE HOUSE CHEROKEE N.C NEAR HARRAHS CASINO 11/07/23-I went in and sat at the bar to place a to go order. I counted 6 ladies and 1 cook. Everyone kept looking but no one spoke. Finally a young lady say to me, " I guess I'll take your order.. you will be my first for today. " I ordered a patty melt with 1 pc of cheese, no onion, tomato in my hash browns, chili on the side, extra pickles. My total was $11.72. I went to the bathroom, OMG! I'll spare the details however I didn't use it! (I went next door to the McDonald's.) Since the young lady volunteered herself to help me, I left a $8.28. I started on the patty melt, horrible, meat tasted weird, the chill was sooo thick- barely warm but tasted ok. Once I got home..3 hrs later, thought maybe I'll eat my leftovers.. start smacking on the pickles, then I saw the ROACH and hair! OMG! WTH! I instantly got SICK, head in trash for atlease 20 minutes! Never never NEVER will I go back to any Waffle House. My experiences haven't been good. This has scared me. I'm done with...
