Came here for the first time after a long day at work with my girlfriend. We both were craving Mexican food and saw that they offered dine-in so we decided to try this place out.
We both ordered the steak burrito and I got it as a dinner, which comes with rice and your choice of beans. Food was brought out to us fairly quick and looked really good on their plates. It ended up tasting even better, especially with the multiple sauces that they offered (for free!!!) I’d never seen any other Mexican restaurant offer that many sauces at no cost. The burrito wasn’t as greasy as other restaurants that I’ve been to. It was really good. The best way to describe it was that it tasted... clean. I didn’t feel like hating myself after eating the whole thing, which tends to happen when I eat a whole burrito LOL
Not to mention, one of the workers was considerate enough to constantly check up on us and see how everything was. I really wish we asked for his name because he definitely made our experience a lot better and feel more personal. He told us about how he preps the food everyday and how much he really enjoys doing what he does, and I can respect that! One of the nicest and humblest guy I’ve met.
Will be coming back here again for the food, option to dine-in and customer service, not a whole lot of places around here will offer all...
Read moreI had previously visited this location and had such a great experience that I decided to return—this time bringing my family along for what I hoped would be a pleasant and enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately, our experience this evening was disappointing and uncomfortable, primarily due to the conduct of our server.
As he brought chips and salsa to the table, the server greeted us, and while we hadn’t yet responded, I personally did greet him shortly thereafter. Despite this, he made a sarcastic comment suggesting it was "too late" for a greeting and that it "didn't count." He then proceeded to say he would serve us “only because we are paying for the service.” I was stunned by the tone and nature of his remarks, which came across as unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational.
It’s important to remember that diners may be dealing with personal challenges and come to a restaurant seeking a peaceful, welcoming environment. A server should never make assumptions about a guest’s demeanor or offer unsolicited commentary, especially when the guests have been respectful.
Not only did this interaction sour the mood for the evening, but it also impacted our overall dining experience. Our party of four spent over $60, and yet I left feeling disappointed—not just with the service, but with the...
Read moreFirst, I am always excited to try new, local restaurants. I believe the small, one-off places have the best atmosphere and, usually the best food. Burrito Parrilla is a nice, clean and bright restaurant. The service was quick and friendly. My wife got Grilled Chicken Enchiladas. The portion was huge, including the rice and refried beans. She enjoyed the flavor and textures of the meal. She was very happy with it.
I ordered the Beef Burrito Suiza, with cheese, rice, beans, and lettuce. The beef was bland, with not much flavor. There was a little bit of rice, but no beans at all. The lettuce was wilted and slimy. There was a small amount of American cheese on one side of the burrito,, not mixed in with the meat, as I had anticipated. The term "Suiza" typically indicates a flavorful and spicy red sauce. In this case, I was not impressed as the sauce was watery and tasted very much like Tabasco. Not what I envisioned. I was disappointed.
To sum up, I think Burrito Parrilla is worth a visit, but be wary of...
