Hangout cafe — Restaurant in Palatine Township

I absolutely loved this place! Everything — from the drinks to the desserts — was made with so much care. The bubble tea was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, the waffles were amazing, and the bingsu was light and refreshing the best bingsu in chicago.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their customers. The interior is beautiful — cozy, bright, and thoughtfully decorated. It’s one of those places where you just want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere a little longer.

Such a lovely spot for anyone who loves good drinks, delicious desserts, and friendly service.

The cafe is located next to a ramen shop called Ramen House Sincan. The place is quite big, with plenty of seatings. Looking at the menu, they offer quite varieties of drinks (coffee, teas and bobas) to desserts (bingsoo and waffles). First time we came, we just ordered the mango cheesecake bingsoo and matcha cheesecake. The bingsoo was good, the ice was very soft like snow ice, not icy at all. The cheesecake that my son got was good, but it was quite hard to consume since I think they just took it out from the freezer before they served it to us. Second time visit, we ordered the green tea bubble waffle. It was ok only... I mean it’s not bad, but it didn’t wow me...

First time trying this place. I got the matcha strawberry. Their “medium” size is way too small, I asked for less ice and there was still way too much ice after drinking the liquid, I couldn’t get the rest of the boba or strawberry chunks. I like how they added strawberry chunks but there was no point as I couldn’t get them around the ice or through the straw. The flavor was all around average. I can’t say I would recommend any of the medium sized boba drinks just because proportionally it’s a horrible deal. Friend had the coffee though and it was good. Might be back to try the bingsoo cuz that might be more worth it. Staff were nice but didn’t ask...
