My Flavor It! Place - Palatine — Restaurant in Palatine Township

My family and I stopped at My Flavor it Place after a stop to rest in the midst of our bike ride. We parked the 4 bikes out front and sat at a table outside along the quiet adjacent street. I went in with my oldest as my wife and youngest stayed outside. We had prompt and friendly service and received our order quickly. The place is clean and cozy with limited indoor seating. We came outside to find the other half of my family being chased by bees that wanted to say hello. When the bees saw my ice cream I became their new best friend. I wanted to take my kids to a local ice cream shop on a random Wednesday after lunch and this was the only place open. I’m so glad it was because it was delicious!

I’ve never had soft serve that you could add flavors to but my kids chose cotton candy and they loved it. We also got a yummy rainbow shaved ice, and a pretzel with cheese sauce. Really something for everyone!

I want to add that i don’t really like ice cream usually (i know, i know, I’m crazy) but the one my kids got was so good i actually stole a few bites!

A cute and reasonably priced place to get a treat.

That being said, it is not handicap accessible. No handicapped parking close, large step up curb, large step into building, large step down to shop,and very small shop. Took someone who uses a walker and does ok, but isn't entirely steady on her feet. I won't be bringing her back again, because of access issues.

Suggestion to owner: is it possible to have a walk up window at these premisis? Walk up means that there is only the step up from the curb to navigate and a customer won't have to leave their friend/companion alone while the other gets...
