Wendy's — Restaurant in Palatine Township

I requested a hot fresh son of baconator and it was just that. I was happy with the food. Didn’t like the drink station being behind the counter. Had to keep asking for ice and water. I like the drink station out so customers can get what they want when they want it. I’ve noticed how non of these fast food restaurants employees who work on the registers NEVER wash their hands after handling money. Then they go back and bag customers food with those same dirty hands . Very nasty. If you’re handling money, touching the nasty register, cards etc, YOU SHOULD NOT BE BAGGING ANYTHING. Cooks and people assisting the cooks need to handle and bag food with gloves on. Also hands should be washed after you come back inside after giving a customer their order which I NEVER see. ALL FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS NEED TO GET THEIR DUCKS IN A ROW!!! LETS KEEP IT CLEAN AND SANITARY SO THAT WE ALL DONT GET SICK FROM YOUR NASTY DONT GIVE A DAMN EMPLOYEES. IM JUST REALLY DONE WITH EATING OUT. PRICES ARE TOO HIGH AND PEOPLE ARE TOO NASTY!!! I SEE EMPLOYEES AT FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS TOUCHING THEIR NOSE, FACE, CLOTHES, PHONES, HANDS NOT WASHED AND PREPARING FOOD HANDS IN THEIR POCKETS, IVE SEEN GUM CHEWING. I SAW A LADY AT A DIFFERENT FAST FOOD RESTAURANT AND A BOX OF FRY BAGS FELL ON THE FLOOR LADY JUST PICKED THEM ALL UP AND PUT THEM BACK IN THE BOX TO PUT FRIES IN. I VIDEOTAPED HER NASTY BUTT WHILE SHE TOUCHED HER HAIR AND FACE PACKING CUSTOMERS ORDERS. I TOLD THE MANAGER AND THEY SUPPOSEDLY GOT ANOTHER BOX BECAUSE I TOLD HER YOU NEED TO THROW THAT ENTIRE BOX AWAY. IT PROBABLY WASNT DONE BECAUSE IT WAS DONE OUT OF VIEW SO YOU KNOW HOW THAT GOES. THESE ARE ALL THE NASTY STUFF THAT YOU DONT SEE IN THE DRIVE THRU. TATS ONE OF THE MANY REASON I DONT DO DRIVE THRU I GO INSIDE TO SEE WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING WITH MY FOOD. YOU JUST CANT TRUST THESE NASTY PEOPLE NOW DAYS!! I SUGGEST DO NOT DO DRIVE THRU TAKE YOUR BUTT IN IF YOU CARE. IF YOURE LAZY AND DONT GIVE A DAMN DRIVE ON THRU AND PRAY THAT YOULL BE OK. THINGS ARE NOT WHAT THEY USE TO BE. FAST FOOD HAS GOTTEN HORRIBLE OUT HERE IN THE NW SUBURBS OF CHICAGO!!! YOU HAVE TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY AT A HIGH END RESTAURANT TO GET GOOD FOOD OUT IN THE NW SUBURBS. ITS REALLY SAD WHAT THIS GREEDY COUNTRY HAS COME TO. POOR QUALITY AND HIGH PRICES. WE ALL NEED TO BOYCOTT INTIL THE PRICES DROP. WITHOUT CUSTOMERS THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS. THE CUSTOMERS MAKE THE BUSINESS. LETS BOYCOTT THESE PUNKS FOR 3 MONTHS WHICH IS ALL SUMMER AND I BET THEY WILL LOWER PRICES. BUY AND COOK AT HOME FOR 3 MONTHS. IM PRESENTING A CHALLENGE TO YOU RIGHT NOW!!...

I would rate this store with no star but the lowest is 1 start to be able to post. My son and I went there on May 27, 2016 after I had picked him up from school in Palatine. We ordered 2 of their combo meals. Everything was fine until we picked up the food at the second window. I had forgotten to ask for 2 waters when placing the orders. When I asked the lady at the pickup window for the 2 waters she proceeded to tell me "you need to tell us you want water when you order" in scolding, rude and condescending manner. I was surprised at her reaction and told her "that's not the service I'd expect to get from Wendy's". She proceeded to say that she had to enter it into the system - which is fine - she was making such a big deal about it - just do your job. I asked for her name and she refused, slammed the window in my face. I waited until she opened the window again -asked for her name again and she refused. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager but did not want to give her name. I stayed by the window for about 10 seconds and she grabbed the phone and said she was going to call the police and at this point I said I will file a complaint - she said go ahead and I left. I called into Wendy's customer care center and reported it the same day. They said that they take feedback very seriously and would have a manager call me back. I've been here many times and never had a bad experience. On the contrary, every time I get food is here is a good experience. The fries somehow always taste fresh. Every employee I've interacted with there has been very nice and helpful. This may be the best Wendy's I've ever been to due to the staff and the lack of a crowd and the fact that our food has always been perfect (for fast food). My one irk that has nothing to do with this location is that the BBQ sauce leave something to be desired. Anyone else feel this way? I like the other Wendy's sauces, but the Barbeque just isn't right. Again, nothing to do with this location, in fact it should be a compliment that I eat in there so often even though I wish I could have my food with some good barbeque sauce....
