Food is great, however they made a very racist comment while trying to place order attempting to imply that we cannot afford the food we are ordering. Then When we called them out they called us sensitive. Very bad! *edit because owner replied: That’s not how it went at all, after you advised we could not pay over the phone with my card, I told you my husband will come and pay, after I said that you questioned our ability to pay for our order in person, I advised that my husband is 100% able to pay and then you questioned our ability again implying we cannot afford our food! I have ate with you guys for 11 years, and to see this response and be misleading in your reply to my review is disheartening. If you were honest and apologized, I would have dropped it, but now that you are being misleading in your response, I will use the recording of our conversation and be posting it to YouTube and sharing our experience, I will also be filing a consumer discrimination complaint to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). Very delicious; wish we had ordered from here sooner. We moved to Bayside Lakes 2 months ago and I walked around the plaza on our first night in town to get menus and check out places. There was a long line in front of Lin’s Garden and many people were complaining about their long wait times and how service had deteriorated since COVID. Also saw some recent “not so great reviews” so initially decided to stay away. What a mistake! After a long week and a craving for Chinese, we decided to give it a try and wished we had done so sooner. Unlike some prior reviews, our ordering process was easy: Woman on the phone was polite, helpful, reviewed the order item by item before we hung up, provided an estimated time (40 min), gave an order number and the total price (matched the menu prices). They even called back around 40 mins later to say the order was almost ready. We had Sesame Chicken, General TSOs Chicken, Hot Spicy Shrimp, and Boutbon Chicken combos. I usually like this place but the customer service has completely gone out the door. After the service tonight, I will never eat there again. I ordered orange chicken for my kids. At MOST Chinese food places, the spices in orange chicken is mild. Tonight it was so spicy that my kids couldn't eat it. My husband called about it first and they said it's supposed to be spicy. So I called asking for a manager and the lady that answered (not sure she was actually a manager) and she answers me by saying who's this?? I'm like a customer, and I need to speak to a manager. I explained the situation and that my kids couldn't eat and she replies with "I don't know what your kids eat." She offered no type of apology or compensation. DO NOT EAT HERE!! I've overlooked past issues but I spent good money on a dinner my children couldn't even eat. You will not receive good service and when they mess up, they don't fix it.
