Asian Fin — Restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens

Summary: The food outshines the service. I bought a Living Social coupon for Asian Fin and was eager to give it a try. When I first walked up, the place next door was packed and not a sole was in Asian Fin, which concerned me, knowing they had recently run a Living Social and Groupon deal. My wife ordered the Spicy Tuna Sandwich which came with a salad that was fantastic. The sandwich was presented well and she said it was amazing. I ordered the spicy seafood soup and presented very well and tasted equally great. Fresh seafood in a great tasting broth with large udon noodles. We also order a couple of sushi rolls which were wonderful. We left the place stuffed and very happy. The service was just OK, considering the prices, you'd expect a little more in this area. When we walked in, the host (who ended up being our server as well) , instead of seating us, just kind of waved his arm to a table and said "here you go..." He spoke incredibly soft and didn't seem very happy. When he brought out the silverware, just kind of clanked it down on the table and haphazardly arranged in (sort of) in front of us. I'm a very friendly person and eventually got him to actually smile and even chuckle a bit. I don't know if he had a bad day or has some stress outside of work, so I'm very forgiving, but I do think he should work on that. With the atmosphere, the quality of food, it's presentation and everything else, raising the quality or basically the friendliness of the server would take this place off the charts. My girlfriend had a groupon to this restaurant and this is on the lists of restaurants with terrible service, the waitress had no personality and couldn't recommend much, there was a prime rib piece with sushimi beef and I told her I don't care for sushimi but I ordered it figuring it was unique and would be good. SUPER EXPENSIVE, my girlfriend's daughter ordered two avacado rolls 15 bucks california roll my girlfriend 15 bucks for one, I ordered a crunchy tuna which was small portion and delicious 18 bucks and the prime rib krab roll was good was 23 bucks, I was starved hadn't eaten anything all day, I walked in and meet my girlfriend and her daughter and they are so stingy with their menus that they wouldn't give us a menu and when they gave it to you and I wanted to use it to order something else you would think I asked to borrow their japanese daughter or something. Bad service, expensive, I asked my girlfriend if they wanted to walk down the way to Sal's Italian restaurant that had a ten dollar chicken sandwhich and fries. Not worth the expense. Soft shell crab appetizer ($18) was fried to almost inedible; chicken fried rice ($15) was plain rice with blackened slices of chicken and some veggies thrown on top (my kids who LOVE fried rice would not eat it); jumbo prawns ($29) were not jumbo and were overcooked; sushi was mediocre at best. Total waste of $140. Now to top it off I tried ordering, per their website, on door dash. When my order went over $100 I received an error message saying the restaurant doesn't accept orders over $100. Seriously?? You're going to charge these prices but put a $100 limit on online orders?? I should've stopped there and went somewhere else, but decided to call the order in. When we went to pick it up, we called the restaurant, per the sign outside, to tell them we arrived. They then told us that they didn't have an order under my name. So...we walked inside, and there on a table with the rest of the orders was a bag with my name on it. Response when questioned about why they said they didn't have our order was "Oh, I didn't see it". SMH... The rest is history... find yourself a better establishment to spend your money at for your...
