Been going to this place on and off about a year, and a half great food, reasonably priced. My latest experience was the tipping point though, I ordered take-out and I live in a new community so as usual I offered to provide directions, but the person on the phone knew better. Keep in mind I have ordered take out 4 or 5 times previously from the very same restaurant Sure enough, 45 minutes later when I would expect the food, I receive a call from someone who speaks almost no English asking me to re-confirm my address, I oblige, and once again ask, if he would like assistance with the directions, he insists no, and hangs up. 30 minutes later I get a call asking me to once again confirm the address, this time I am more insistent, and have them stop talking and listen to what I have to say regarding the new complex I live in that is not yet on google maps.
I offer to text the delivery driver with exact directions on how to get to my place, it is literally 3 turns away from the restaurant, I should have thrown some clothes on and gone myself in hindsight.
So I text the delivery driver directions, and then I get a phone call asking me for my gate number, but my complex has no gate! Somehow, without GPS, they cannot find my place which is a whopping 3 turns away from their place of business!
Lastly, I am explaining to the driver, who once again says he is in the right place, after I tell him you are not, as my place has no gate, he hangs up on me.
I then called back and cancelled my order, I would order from this restaurant once or twice a...
Read moreDisappointing. I've eaten takeout from China Kitchen many times over the years and have always found the food good, the portion size adequate and the price reasonable. My last visit... Not so much. The price is still reasonable. It seems to me that the portions are smaller than they used to be. It could be my imagination because I haven't eaten from there in quite some time but when I took the food out of the bag it seems smaller than it used to be, by a substantial amount. As it turns out it didn't really matter because the taste was lacking. I had the beef lo mein. Usually I get the chow mein but I was more in the mood for lo mein. It was pretty bland and needed way to much soy sauce to make it somewhat enjoyable. I've eaten there to many times to just write them off because of one bad experience (but I won't be getting the lo mein). Next time I'll order my usual chow mein. If I have the same experience, I'll be doing for a new Chinese restaurant.
This is a side note. Since the pandemic I've noticed that many many places seemed to have just stopped trying. Customer satisfaction just doesn't seem to matter as much, if at all as it used to. Like if you've...
Read moreThis restaurant is in a good area but inside it seems old and a bit dirty. My first time trying their food and it was just ok. The food by the end of the night made me get leg cramps from all the oil they cook with. I had to get lemon water and aspirin and that helped me. I didn’t think I would get like this by eating Chinese food but it was so greasy that I started not feeling well and I do have high cholesterol etc.. so be careful if you do have this. The peas in the rice are frozen kind and they were still hard and with zero flavor. Honestly Chinese fried rice isn’t what it used to be before back in the 90s everywhere. Now they don’t want to add egg or is a up charge, they add regular onions now instead of bean sprouts and not enough soy sauce to make rice more brown and flavorful. The breaded meat seems like is more flour than meat. Chinese restaurants need to put more effort in their food like they used to because it...
