Swampgrass Willy's — Restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens

I never gave a review of this place but just now have decided to do so. Too all who have followed me and good folks who are just now reading this review. Here is the way I feel, this is a good place,can say I've had some good time's there.I was going there watching the football games there every week and the owners would always bring out a good spread of food too eat not too mention some who brought there home cooking there for all too enjoy.The music was always good live and a good mix of bands. They would always come over and greet me with a kind word. Service was at it's best even when they were busy. This is the good about this place but know for the rest of the story.I will never forget the last time I was there, I walked in like I always, now without a second thought I do talk alot and I never was a big Tip kind of person, but I have watch how I spend now I understand it's good too Tip and I always Tip at least 20% but this day one of the bartenders came too me and told me that I talked too much and no one liked me and not too come back, and mention that I was a bad at tipping. This put me in shock. Soyou can imagine how I still feel about this place....

I'm originally from Fairbanks, Alaska and began to get homesick after several weeks in Florida visiting family. Me and my fiance began searching for a bar that seemed like our favorite bar back home and we found the perfect place at Swampgrass Willys. We came here for Karaoke, which is our favorite thing to do at our local watering hole and we weren't disappointed. I'm by no means a good singer, but the crowd treated me like I was Mick Jagger after every song and it made me feel like I was sitting at home next to my closest friends. I had read a previous review where someone had said they entered as strangers and left feeling as though they were regulars and I couldn't agree more. Thank you Curtis and Gabe for being top notch bartenders, and thank you David for being an incredibly welcoming karaoke host. This place has come a long way and still has everything I love about a neighborhood tavern. Great live music from the best locals to the coolest touring bands. The sound is better than most bars but you might want earplugs for harder music shows. They have all-styles of performers. No matter what it is, it's always good. From acoustic to punk to R&B to country to alternative to classic rock, the talent is great on weekends and they have everything from pool to karaoke to just checking out every sport on TV, it's always great. Surprisingly excellent food beyond most bar fare. Easily the best wings around and a grilled chicken wrap that is fantastic! Their monster onion rings are so good, too.
