My wife is Parisian and my blood is Italian, i grew up in Rome and Paris, for 50 + years we have dined everywhere from Tunisia to Cascais at the tip of Portugal to the north of Italy where the polenta is served directly on a marble table......I say this because although we are local , we have been around and speak 4 languages between us....so when we say that our first visit to Chez Pierre was a wondrous culinary delight with authentic vintage French music , first class service , keen attention by the owners as they glide table to table ( old school ) making sure everyone is is satisfied , trust us , we highly recommend this beautiful establishment , even the valet parking gentleman was kind and very polite We were Immediately charmed by a very lovely hostess who made us feel welcome as we entered and were seated in a cozy corner spot we were Immediately engulfed in a different era of etiquette and old world charm ~ we will be back Indeed. Read moreClassic French dishes poorly prepared. The escargots were burnt, the top of the dish was black and the butter sauce had dried out. The fish soup was horrendous, watery, salty like a bouillon made from a cube, certainly no fish made it to this soup. The rouille was not rouille, looked more like bland mayo. The sweetbreads were not properly cleaned lots of skin left, they were not seared, it was just a plate of mushiness. The beef bourguignon was just ok. Tarte tatin was just a re-heated apple pie, tarte fine aux pommes was a round piece of dough with a single paper thin slice of apple and so much cinnamon it was inedible. To make things worse, they were busy on the night we went there, there is no bar so they had people waiting for a table sit along the wall just inches to my chair, one of the ladies was coughing her heart off directly on me. Very expensive for sub par food, an assassination of...

This should never happen in any restaurant let alone one of...
