Solid hole in the wall Mexican with cold beer, good Margaritas, and authentic food. Salsa is just right and seems to be very fresh. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Also seemed very clean. Only knocked down a star because I think the pricing is a bit high for a place like this, but then again, even going out to Carl’s Jr. is expensive for what you get these days. Disappointingly ordinary. El Guero was so highly recommended by a local resident, perhaps our expectations were too high. Or else we ordered the wrong things. The birria taco was bland, the meat was dry and all that came on it were some onion bits and cilantro. I dined at this restaurant and had the worse experience. The waitress didn’t know what they had in stock, she didn’t ask what we wanted with our food, (example: we asked for enchiladas and she never asked what kind, my food came with tortillas she brought me flour when I asked for corn) she didn’t come and give us refills. I had to wave her down to get refills, and the worst part is the men’s restroom had throw up on the side of the toilet bowl. It was old because it was dry on the...
