Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Palm Desert

Absolutely Disgusting Food! This was my first (and definitely last) time ordering from Jack in the Box. I had never tried it before and now I know why — I should’ve stayed away. I ordered two Munchie Meals through Uber Eats and was beyond disappointed.

Jack’s Spicy Chicken was awful — the chicken was dry, hidden under a thick, burnt layer of breading. It was completely inedible, like chewing on a piece of cardboard. The curly fries were stale, soggy, and far from fresh or crispy. The tacos were even worse — some mystery meat substitute that didn’t taste like actual meat at all. It was more like a processed mush. I really regret not reading Yelp reviews beforehand. This place was a huge letdown. Never again.

I never have expectations for Jack in the Box. I live in PD Cahuilla Hills, and used to go to the location in La Quinta on Hwy 111, only a couple times at my sons request, but the service was so bad & the team very unprofessional, we stopped going to Jack altogether. Well my son really wanted some curly fries & tacos one evening. Jack in the Box on Cook St. exceeded any expectation I would have had. Clean, greeted with a friendly and smiling face, bathroom was clean, and I forgot how good the Southwest Chicken Salad (grilled) was, and actually very satisfying. Emily, the shift lead was very rude and disrespectful because there was an issue with my order. She also rolled her eyes and called me a liar. I will not return to this location if I simply ask for my order to be correct or get called a liar if I say it’s not correct. I asked for a number to call a manager and she gave me a pamphlet for nutrition facts that doesn’t have any phone numbers on it. I never got a paper receipt either so i had to look for the number in the store. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but I don’t appreciate the encounter and it was frustrating enough to not...
