Piero’s PizzaNova in Palm Desert offers a delightful escape into an Italian dining experience with a warm, welcoming ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable meal. From the moment you step in, you’re surrounded by cozy, rustic decor and the inviting aroma of Italian cuisine. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, making it equally suited for a casual family dinner or a special night out. You instantly feel the staff’s genuine hospitality, as they greet you with friendly smiles and guide you to your table, setting the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.

The menu at Piero’s PizzaNova showcases classic Italian dishes that are prepared with care and flair. From their rich, savory pastas to the perfectly cooked pizzas, every bite bursts with authentic flavors. Standouts include their Margherita pizza with its thin, crisp crust, and a pasta carbonara that’s creamy and indulgent without feeling too heavy. The large portions here are more than generous, making it a fantastic spot for those with a hearty Italian appetite. Sharing plates with friends and family is a must, as each dish is crafted to deliver the robust and satisfying taste of traditional Italian cooking.

Beyond the delicious food, the service at Piero’s PizzaNova truly elevates the experience. Attentive without being overbearing, the staff is knowledgeable about the menu and quick to offer excellent wine pairings or meal recommendations. The pacing of the meal is perfect, with dishes arriving promptly and fresh. They make sure you feel right at home, whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time. Piero’s PizzaNova is the kind of place that invites you to linger, savoring both the food and the experience. If you’re in Palm Desert, bring your appetite and prepare to be treated...

Update 2 yrs later... Manny mgr made certain we had a positive experience this time. Reuben our server was friendly and attentive. Food was as great as last time. Large arugula salad and small panzanella and margherita pizza. The only disappointment was the flat bread appetizer that was burnt. Dined on enclosed patio. Will return next time in PD. Manny host and manager was friendly. Nice enclosed patio. Waited at least 10-15 min for Victor server to ask if we wanted water. At that point we asked for wine and beer. He was vague on what was on tap and had it backwards. He started walking away so we asked to order salads. He then asked if wanted entrees; we said we'll wait. Someone else brought salads. We waited another 10+ minutes and finally spotted Victor and waved him over and ordered pizza and another glass of wine. Forgot to order bread. Asked another another waiter for bread. Had to ask two more servers to ask Victor for my second glass of wine. The arugula and panzabella small salads and the margherita with extra sauce cheese and basil were all good. Our tip is based on service which was non existent until it was time for check. Victor actually brought the restaurant copy back and had circled the percentage tip amounts. We had NEVER had that happen before. I explained to Manny that we tip according to service and Victor's service was seriously lacking plus he returned the check with the tip % circled. Manny apologized and said to ask for him next time we're there. Victor followed us out the door and thanked us for coming like he was expecting more tip. What a...

OMG best pizza I've EVER had!!! 🤯🤯🤯 I got the white sauced pizza called "Alba" on gluten free dough. Alba has Piero's white sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, truffle paste, and topped with a lightly cooked egg. I was worried that there'd be too few ingredients for me, but OMG AMAZING!!!! The flavor was PERFECTION!!! We will definitely make time to come back here when we're in town again!! The other thing that tasted so great was the cannoli for dessert. The cream inside had specks of orange zest, and must've been little specks of white chocolate butter or something that just melted in your mouth and wasn't over sweet. The flavor of the cannoli cream was multi-faceted, dynamic and delightful! Since I'm gluten-free I only tasted the cream and was so close to asking them to just give me a bowl of the cream with some strawberries on it, but instead tried to scoop out as much as possible from my husband's cannoli that he was left with almost an empty shell. 😅 Other pictures are of the eggplant "rollatini" as an appetizer, which had a great taste throughout and highlighted the great flavor of their red sauce, the Ciccia-Ciccia pizza, and a kid's cheese pizza. My husband said the Ciccia-Ciccia had a very tasty dough and high quality toppings. He thought it was good, not amazing, but he definitely thought the cream inside the cannoli was top-notch! Lovely staff, atmosphere, and amazing...

We were told this was the best Italian restaurant around. I am not going to agree with the recommendation. Fun seating outside and looks inviting when walking in. We had reservations and were guided through the kitchen serving area to a back room that was stuffy, cramped and uninviting. The wood varnish tables were sticky and the staff were slow to take drink orders. The food descriptions on the menu sounded great and I was expecting food that would make my taste buds go wild.... and that didn't happen. Our pizza was good and the crust/dough was flavorful and cooked nicely, but it was still just a cheesy pepperoni pizza (11 in. for $23). The pasta with vodka sauce was a bust. Ordered it with chicken (extra $$) and I can say would not order again. Big bowl of pasta with light sauce and hardly any chicken. It just didn’t live up to the flavors promised from the description. They did not offer any bread and we had to ask for water refills twice. Sorry Piero's, you will not be making my comeback again list.
