The service at this place is utterly atrocious. We were seated and quickly given water. After about 10 minutes of no one coming by to take our order, my guest walked up to the counter to ask if we were supposed to order there. They said no, and someone would be right over. After another 5 minutes, I was finally able to wave someone over to take our order. The menu has a ton of little icons including "nut free". However, the icons are not used consistently as none of the sandwiches or wraps say nut free. I notified the waiter that I had a severe nut allergy. We ordered food and drinks. Our drinks were brought out one at a time instead of together. After another 15 minutes our real waiter introduced herself and asked if we wanted anything. We told her we already ordered, so she offered us some bread and hummus. I asked if there were nuts in it, she said she didn't know. Our food came out and she came back and said that there were nuts in the hummus and if we still wanted it. We declined. At this point I was starving so took a bite of my wrap only to immediately realize it was not my food. This was incredibly concerning as I had notified them of my allergy and they gave me something I did not order. They quickly brought my food as they had clearly grabbed the wrong plate. Food was mediocre. We got our bill and left. The next day my friend told me that she had her food mixed up as well. She ordered a Tunisian bowl with Millet. When she got to the bottom of the bowl. she realized it was quinoa which she is allergic to. She broke out in hives after leaving the restaurant. This is incredibly frightening to know that a business serving food has no regard for allergies. I am sure as more of these reports come out they will quickly be shut down. Hopefully before they seriously harm someone.
Update: Since writing this review on Facebook, the owner has started to harass not only myself but my friends and family members. She sent me a private message without my consent to be contacted by a business (violating Facebook's terms of service) and stalked my page contacting my mother and friends urging them to have me take this review down. It appears that they are more concerned about maintaining a positive image than they are in training...
Read moreWe recently brought our Dining with The Davids Taste Buds group to Wildest in Palm Desert for a 12-course tasting experience, and it was unforgettable.
Chef Trilby delivered a truly inspired meal, but a few dishes stood out as clear favorites among our group:
đ€ Top Appetizer & Overall Favorite: Haiole Nai Shrimpâcrispy, sweet, spicy, and paired with a wasabi aioli and pickled ginger. It was love at first bite.
đ„ Ahi Tuna Tartare came in second, with bright flavors and a refreshing finish.
đ± Best EntrĂ©e: The English Pea Ravioli with black truffle sauceâearthy, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
đ Close Runner-Up: Wild Scallops with parsnip purĂ©e and pomegranate molasses. Rich, sweet, and perfectly seared.
đ° Top Dessert: Butter Cake, which narrowly beat out the Warm Pineapple Upside Down Cakeâboth were decadent and delightful.
Although we couldnât fit it into our video, itâs worth mentioning that Wildest has one of the coolest private dining rooms weâve ever seenâitâs inside the wine cellar! The room is glass-walled, air-conditioned, and ideal for special occasions, small groups, or business dinners.
đ« The ambiance throughout Wildest is off the charts. Every detail of the space is so well thought outâfrom the lighting to the layoutâthanks to the ownerâs background in construction. You can tell this place was designed with intention and passion.
đ¶ Thereâs also live music, which unfortunately didnât make it into our video either, but it adds yet another layer to what is already a magical dining experience.
Big thanks to our waiter, Bryan. He was perfectly attentive and a total gentleman.
Whether youâre planning a date night, group dinner, or just looking for a standout meal in the Coachella Valley, Wildest should absolutely be...
Read moreI would like to start off this review saying I'm not giving this one star because of the food or the service. The food was delicious, and the staff was great, especially our waiter Chris. Chris was a delightful waiter and saved our experience at this restaurant and did everything in his power to save our experience. So thank you again for your tremendous service Chris.
I'm giving this restaurant one star because of the manager. We visited on an unexpectedly busy travel weekend so long waits were to be expected. My girlfriend called ahead to get our name on the list and the manager was the one who picked up the phone. He immediately came off as creepy to my girlfriend, asking personal questions on why we were coming to his restaurant. He seemed drunk on the phone and completely unaware that a busy Saturday night was ahead of his restaurant. When we arrived our suspicions we're true, he continued to give off a creepy vibe, invading our personal space, giving my girlfriend and mother flirtatious looks and cracking jokes that weren't funny and being completely narcissistic. He was being rude to my girlfriend after she rejected an expensive bottle of wine that was offered because of the long wait time. she rejected the bottle because my girlfriend is not old enough to drink. We watched this manager follow several women out to their cars and we kindly asked our waiter Chris to keep him away from our table which he did very well.
I hope no one else has to experience this man as the rest of the staff and restaurant...
