Palermo's New York Pizza — Restaurant in Palm Springs

Popped into Palermo's this afternoon for the first time. I usually go to the Mexican place next door when I'm dining in this area, but decided I'd give pizza in Palm Springs another shot. We've lived here for 2 5 years and never found really good pizza. Palermo's did not disappoint! This has literally got to be the best pizza I've had in the Coachella Valley. The sauce? Made by hand. The owner was making a fresh batch while I ate. Its got a clean, fresh flavor that is not heavy and not overwhelming. The tomato truly tastes fresh and not sour or too sweet. This pizza the the perfect thickness and was cooked to perfection. I read the other review where the individual ordered the pizza delivered by DoorDash and it showed up ruined. I'm not sure, about Doordash, but the owner of this establishment knows his business. I watched him lecture a Doordash driver on taking care of the pizza for 5 minutes. Hands down best pizza in the desert! I don't eat pizza often, but when I get a craving for pizza, Palermo's is the first thing that comes to mind. This is a small business that is ran very well and I will forever be a loyal customer. I tell any friends who visit the desert or move here about this gem! Always friendly service, by far the best pizza sauce I've ever tasted, full of flavor and you can taste the love that goes into each pie. Also the meatballs could be my last meal and I'd be perfectly happy! There is obviously a reason this place has such raving reviews. Worth every penny and more! We love you Palermo's!!!!

My wife, Cheryl, and I have been enjoying Matthew's great pizza at Palermo's for many years. We always order an antipasto salad to go with the pizza, and both are ideal for any quick meal! He also makes great meatball sandwiches on a crusty roll, with a delicious sauce. What really amazed us was his lasagna, which we ordered on the same day for an early dinner with our family the day before Thanksgiving. Matthew put together the most incredibly flavorful all home-made pasta, with thick meat sauce layers and ricotta that we have ever had anywhere in the world.
