Fantastic neighborhood bar! Drinks are generous, fairly priced and the staff is warm and friendly. They need to fix one process. When you go up to the bar to buy your drink, you have to stand over a filthy, dirty, stinking 55 gallon Rubbermaid garbage can. Granted, their footprint is tiny, but it’s offensive and unappetizing. For paying customers to have to put up with that health hazard is very unfair. Cannot believe that inspectors allow this process to continue. Plus, there are always two patrons sitting on either side of the garbage can and seem oblivious. Also, and probably no fault of their own, the place very often smells like septic tank back up. Between the huge garbage can and septic smell, it needs some work to be five stars. They have the fastest working, hardest working bartenders that exist anywhere. They over service the customers and try to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Security is great. They have a devoted and loyal following. Friday nights are a true circus. It is a PS fixture. Please guys, clean up your...
Read moreMY PARTNER AND I WERE KICKED OUT FOR POLITELY ASKING THE BARTENDER TO NOT REFER TO US AS LADIES One thing to know about me is that I am a very quiet and timid individual. I never cause a scene and become extremely uncomfortable if I feel embarrassed. I cannot believe I am writing a Google review. I never do, but this is an important experience to share. I've been here a few times with my lesbian friends. We are all young and most of us are afab (a female at birth) so when we walk into a room with predominately cis white men, it's not very welcoming. However, this is one of the only places that has ac and most of us are disabled so it's easier for us to sit and enjoy each others company. But both the bar tender and management made it clear that you are not welcome if you are anything other than a white gay man and they make that well known. Just look at who posts the good reviews vs the bad ones. Most of the bad ones are about them discriminating against minorities. NOT OKAY. Maybe read a book,...
Read moreOne of the bartenders there accidentally misgendered a patron (which the patron handled gently by saying that it's OK to make a mistake, but to please refer to them by their correct gender) and the bartender threw the biggest tantrum over it, REMOVED their drinks (which is not legal?), and had them thrown out of the bar. The patron in question kept insisting that it was ok the bartender got their pronouns wrong, they were just trying to be helpful, but the bartender kept going on about how he's just "being a gentleman by calling them ladies, and they look like ladies so he's going to call them that. For this to happen in any establishment is abhorrent, but to happen in a queer one is actually just so...
