The owners, Edward and Kristen, made us feel instantly welcome and comfortable. They looked at, tested, and provided a monetary value for our jewelry and silver all right in front of us as well as explaining the process and answered any questions we had. They were both extremely sympathetic as my brother and I had just experienced the passing of our father. They realized that they actually knew who our dad was, as he lived locally and worked downtown as well. I cannot give enough stars or stress enough that this is THE place to go to. Have come to this place not too long, the first time was good. Would not show me the weight of any pieces I had, wouldn't even count any precious stones, stating they were not "Genuine" even though they were. He still wanted them even though they were "nothing" and got mad and unprofessional when asking for the stones back if they were "nothing" and told me I could just take everything and go being extremely rude. No wonder he hasn't gotten an award in years. Would say some pieces were a lower kt even though they were the correct Kt and would do all the testing and weight away from you so you don't see and so he can say something different. I will not be coming back to this place and highly recommend PMR for anything you want to sell that's precious metal or stones. Kristen is just outstanding at what she does, and she helped me select 2 very nice chains on my first visit to the store. I honestly thought the process of finding new jewelry would likely involve 4 or 5 different stores and me feeling exhausted and rattled at the end of the day. On more than a few occasions in the past, other jewelers have made me feel rushed and even downright judged! That is definitely NOT the case with The Gold Store. Kristen made it clear that we could take all the time we needed and she made the buying experience very pleasant and fun - as it should be! I will definitely return to take another look at their beautiful selection.
