Ying Korean fried chicken — Restaurant in Palm Springs

Hi… I have had real Korean fried chicken from a very well known chain that came from Korea and it was the best fried chicken on the planet….. Ying’s however is an insult to real Korean fried chicken, 1 star is being too nice of a rating, this is a fraud Korean fried chicken place… please do not call this Korean fried chicken because it’s misleading and lying to people who don’t know what Korean fried chicken actually is…. This is a greasy wet batter boiled flavorless trash that I would rather toss to the gators and get Publix fried chicken instead… this is absolutely the worst fried chicken I have ever had… congratulations you have received the title for the worst fried chicken I have ever EVER eaten… people DO NOT BE FOOLED THIS IS NOT REAL KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN! I literally took 1 bite and gagged…. And what is with the lime wedges?! Where are the side order of radishes that are suppose to be complimentary to Korean fried chicken like a real Korean chicken restaurant normally does?! Disgusting!...

I went in because Korean BBQ, and online it said they had Fried Pork Belly. The first time I ordered an appetizer and a meal which is normal at any Asian restaurant. What's not normal is it fed me for 3 days. I'm telling everyone to go because heaven forbid they're gone someday! Go, Order, Eat, tell Friends, Repeat. The woman cooking speaks very little English, just point at what you want and tell her if you want Spicy or Not Spicy. I have a friend who if it's not on 🔥 he's not happy and she always makes him happy! Don't forget to share our good fortune, a fresh fast-ish meal with plenty to share or eat later. Yum-yum sauce is freshly made too. Personal Disclaimer: I do not know if she will understand low sodium diet or if she uses MSG. Amazing food and service. The fried chicken strips had a great flavor and crust. Japchae was exactly what I was craving, and the portions were surprising, it came with a side of delicious pork AND chicken strip.

The woman working that day earned my respect, skinny with black shoulder length hair, wish I caught her name. She cooked everything on her own and in a timely manner. Even though I wasn't the only customer and had a large order, she was helpful, kind, and left a great impression.

My partner and I literally kept saying "wow" every few minutes. Given it was just a random decision to try the lil corner spot inside of a grocery store, we didn't have much expectations.
