I've gone twice already. I went the second time to give them another chance. This place needs to step up their game. They are definitely in need of waitresses that need good training or that are experienced. The wait to get noticed you are there is ridiculous. You must flag someone down. Prepare to wait and get served. Food will take another long period of time. Like 45 mins to an hour. 1st time I went I ordered chilaquiles thinking they would be the same as their other location in Littlerock. Nope not all! Disappointing. The tortilla chips used for my chilaquiles were I don't know what, they were disgusting. I said ok I'll give it another try and went again but I ordered a bowl of birria this time that took like an hour to be served. Birria was ok. Overall this place needs help! Lots of it. I did get to talk to the owner about food and service. He said they are training the cooks to cook as their other location. Everyone is used to their other location and expect same here. He apologized and said they are working on everything. I will give a 3rd try but like in a couple of months hopefully everything will be better. Starting...
Read moreI am very disappointed of this place. I made a reservation of party of 15 people today, 1/25/20. The price included a 15% tips Manager, Alex and supposedly the general manager I believe was Angie . They never told me that the portion size of the meal varies. So I ordered enchiladas, steak and chicken fajitas. And I had explained to him that it was my son’s 18th birthday. He stated that they would arrange a table for us have it ready. When we finally got our plate the portion of the asada was a “6oz” portion. I have small hands well the steak was half of my palm and the chicken fajitas had 3 to 4 pieces of chicken, mostly was onion and pepper and the portion was a 4 oz cup. The plate was full of beans and rice. It was really embarrassing bringing my guests here. The service was horrible. No communication. Alex never told the other employees about the reservation and the order, they had no idea. Please do not go here. They will rip you off. Safe yourself headaches. ...
Read moreI walked over 2 miles to get to this place. It has a lot of nostalgia for me because it's where steer and stein used to be. So much of the same aesthetic remains. I had a burrito and a hardshell taco cause I have to judge Mexican places by hardshell tacos. El Toreo is fantastic when it comes to that. This one was fine. I had the chicken meat and that was incredibly flavorless. For five dollars for a small taco it wasn't worth it. I liked the burrito but it being extra to be served wet when other places have that as a standard is a bummer. Also I didn't like the wet sauce. There's a wide variety of red and Ranchero sauces other places use. This tasted like leftover simple tomato sauce without any authentic Mexican aspects. For the price of La Palma I don't think I will come again. Let's see what restaurant will fill the steer and...
