Boulevard Cafe — Restaurant in Palmdale

Came in today and had a bad experience. We usually come every/every other Sunday, We are usually help by the young lady Sofia (she is great). Although she helped us today the old man brought out the waters & coffee and my 4 year old said "thank you!" He replied with "I didn't bring you anything" with a rude attitude I thought he was joking or something but he was not. Then when the food came out he brought out pancakes and my kid said "thank you" again And what does this old dude say "This plate isn't yours" again with an attitude. I'm not sure what wrong with that guy but we will never step foot in this place again. We have been going for over 2.5 years Sofia has been nothing but nice to us especially to our child. I think him and his daughter are over it, I've seen her talk to other guest in a rude manner too... If you want to come here make sure it's a Sunday morning when you will get good service. We literally would drive from LA to eat here But will not let a grumpy old man talk to my child in that manner or tone. At the age of 4 we teach kids manners, as they are developing social skills. Great service, food could be a little better though. I ordered the sausage patty, eggs, and home fries. The sausage patty could of been bigger and had a different taste to it and not in a great way, I would not be surprised if the meat was not pork (perhaps turkey) or if it was microwaved . The biscuits and gravy were okay, the biscuit was really big, but kind of tough, like it was prepared earlier and just kept warm, the gravy was good though and kind of made up for any of the biscuits flaws. Again The service was excellent, the waitresses were very nice, attentive and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Only because I need to put a 1 star but this place deserves a no star at all . My husband and I were about to walk in and my daughter had a bag and the waitress yells there’s no outside food allowed !!!! from across the room with out even knowing what was in the bag !!! Very unprofessional very unwelcoming and absolutely embarrassing having everyone one in the restaurant turn around and look at us !!!! I had ate here before and the quality of the food was absolutely very poor, but I decided to give it another try since I like to support small businesses but after this incident for sure I won’t be going there .
